Andy's got the Z for the weekend. He's off to a Test and Tune to try to figure out if we can work around the ''flaws'' that the Z has. He's having a special guest driver come in to help with the tuning of the car. He's got 4 front sway bars, new Hawk HPS pads, and 4 new 710s to play with. The Project Z rolled over 64 thousand miles today. On April 18th I'll have had it 3 years.

So, since I'm about to hit the road tomorrow, I'll drop one more hint on what the secret weapon is that Andy and I installed last week. There are 4 of them, and they are white. That should ease in finding them when you look at the car ;) See you all in Topeka!

As noted in this post I don't have the Z today. That's because Andy took it to get an alignment this morning and changed the oil. Now all that is left to do is put on the new front Rotors and mount the new tires to the wheels. The wheels I'll do tomorrow, possibly the rotors as well. Nationals here we come!

I got an offer I couldn't refuse so I traded the Z for an 04 STI tonight!!! I can't believe I didn't get one of these earlier!

There are only a few things left to do for the Z for Nationals. The secret weapon is installed and tested, all appears great so far, we'll see how it reacts on Topeka Concrete! The SCCAForums.com Project Z's Secret Weapon for the 2005 Solo Nationals has arrived! Andy and I will have to do an install this Saturday and hopefully test on Sunday!

The Project Z got a new front sway bar last weekend. Andy ordered the Hotchkis setup for the car, which comes with a front/rear bar, but being that we run in SCCA Stock Solo classes we can only upgrade the front bar. The bar is a 35mm hollow bar, a bit lighter than the 350EVO bar we had on the car which I believe was a 34mm solid bar. It also ...

In just a few minutes I'm off to event #5 in the 2005 series. Andy, my codriver, and I are battling it out for the B-Stock midiv championship this weekend. We are both at 2 wins in the previous 4 events, so whomever finishes in first this weekend should take the title!
