Pizza [pi] Monday Feb 15 - Region Social - New People invited - no pressure - just a place you can ask us questions

The NEW St. Louis Region Monthly

MAKE IT EASY, MAKE IT FUN Socials
    begin February 15, 2010 -  6pm Spazio's Westport!

The St. Louis Region SCCA is going to be holding monthly Make it Easy, Make it Fun Socials at Spazio's,

    12931 Lackland Road, 314-576-0400.

There are NOT meetings, but Socials!

     They are EASY & FUN!

So... You say, " what is a social?"

Well it is NOT A BORING MEETING. It is face to face time for friendship with others who enjoy having and nurturing a sports car addiction.  It is 12 steps of how to grow that addiction with current and possibly new friends.

It is a "hello", it is a "what tires are you going to use this season?"  It is a place to talk about your new car, or ask others how to set up your shocks. Or it is a time and place to invite that co-worker that is interested in cars to meet others with the same interests.

Think of it as a time and place to come, maybe have dinner, maybe have a drink or a cookie, maybe bring the kids (of all ages) and see some car friends.

It is informal.  No dress code, no membership required, just a friendly smiles and some car talk.

The Region will offer a BIT of info IF anyone wants it or needs it. But, we promise NO BORING MEETING JUNK. Mostly it is a place to come and do a little bench racing, enjoy some friendship, maybe see an old friend or maybe even make a new friend.

So come on by on the 3rd Monday of each month.

    February 15, 2010

"Make it Easy, Make it Fun with STL Region SCCA" - Social, Dinner (if you chose, come right from work, Spazio's is open all afternoon). We will MAKE IT EASYaccess to License questions, Hard card info, Waivers, Photos, Joining the SCCA, Getting Minor Waivers, National Convention News, Solo Novice School Info, and 100 Acre Wood Last Minute Info.  We do promise that it we will do everything we can to MAKE IT FUN.

Also, if you have minors and you want to get annual minor waivers signed and id cards made we have have camera, printer and laminator at the February event to get you the permanent id cards for your minors. These will be available for Solo and Club Racing.

    Hope to see you there.

The minor ID cards are applicable to all SCCA programs, not just Solo and Club Racing.

Thanks, can I also get the waivers and do a hard card for myself?  I believe this requires a notary, which is why I didn't get around to doing yet.

The hard card application must be signed by an SCCA Registrar.  Carla Russo and Carol Cohn are Registrars.

Unfortunately...I have a scheduling conflict on Monday nights...are there any plans to make hard cards at the Tech Inspection Day on March 20th?

    Thanks...

Re: Monday Feb 15 - Region Social - New People invited - no pressure - just a place you can ask us questions

Met a bunch of new people. Saw some old friends. Got to talk to the Drifters (Scott and Nate).  Got more info on the Tech O Rama March 20 event.  PDX entrant Kevin has offered to chair a Street Survival Event for the Region.  Picked up 3 new region members.  The Schnardthorst girls and Sam had a lot of fun playing (brought back memories of Grace & Rose vonHatten no so many years ago when they were the little girls playing at region functions. (They both are both look very much grownup). Had some Great Food, even greater cookies.  Lots of fun laughter and I think it was a success.

REMEMBER *** They are EVERY 3rd MONDAY at the Official Bistro of the St. Louis Region SCCA - SPAZIO'S!  6PM.
