    BMW suspension

I am having a hard time deciding on a suspension for the BMW, but I will state the obvious first.  Yes, I am going with coilovers.  Yes, they will be stiff.  And Yes I am getting camber plates.  So the question I still have is what dampener to go with? The AST 4100 which is a single adjustable monotube, or the koni double adjustable.  The price is very similar (with the Vorshlag test pilot discount), so don't even consider the price difference.  Streetability is NOT a concern for me, if its too stiff I'll just get over it.  I am hoping to get some responses from people who have actually used at least one or are very familiar with these products.

Note both kits come with camber plates, I will NOT use the GC camber plates I am set on using Vorshlag's plates

    Re: BMW suspension

Well you know where I stand, vorshlag is awesome.  You wonlt believe how much grip those shocks with dunlops or bstones will give you.

I will say, if there's any way you can save to get the DA 4200's you'll never want another shock or revale.

I have used koni yellows, good for the price, but the rebound adjuster wasn't linear (as i've heard with da's) and I found close to useless.  I also couldn't get tothe rears.

good luck, post up your decision and don't forget the cornerbalancing!

I'm in Pacific time...it's not even 1 yet!

Haven't heard of TCkline, you'll have to feel out the bmw community, but I do know a lot of BMW guys at the TOP with vorshlag(and moton, but who can afford uranium-gold alloy plated shocks?)

    Re: BMW suspension

thanks for the info Rob, 4200's are way out of my price range.  But used suspension stuff for BMW's go for top dollar, so I wouldn't loose big if I upgraded later.  It seems like every one is shooing me away from the koni's I guess AST's are that good.
