IN state employees given shutdown procedures

At 3:00 today I was given procedures to shutdown my area here at the BMV.

I'm not asking for anyone to feel sorry for me.  All I'm asking is that you email your representative with your disgust with our General Assembly not doing there "voted in" job.

    News article for reference: http://blogs.indystar.com/politics/

There is still time to pass a budget, prior to midnight but, I have to share that 31,000 employees getting paid by your tax dollars have been consumed with this all week.  Clearly not a good use of time.

Pass or not...  I think emails should still be sent.  Watching the lack of productivity and seeing employee morale fall through the floor is enough for me to see a last minute pass as failure!  My representative will hear from me.

    This is very true Locked...

Most people do not think about how the Government affects every part of our life until it hits home.  I wonder what special interest or lobbyist or bank is making out of this last minute plan.  Like any plan, when it is left for last minute, people will pass it just to put something into affect and not have the time to really see the whole scheme being put into play. (like the clean climate security bill or some others that are moving very quickly this past week.)

But, hell...to most I am just a crazy person not sucked into the fantasy world of the TV and educate myself everyday with real world current events.

Locked, BRAVO for not sitting back and doing your part!

I hope the best for you!
