Be careful booking a hotel from motorsportsreg.com

Most everyone is from STL but those of us that aren't sometimes need a room to stay in.  Since it's convieniently placed next to the event details, I clicked the book hotel link.  However after looking through the suggestions, it was linking to hotels in Chicago IL.

     Just a friendly FYI Wink.

The reason is the info being fed to hotels.com search engine thinks Madison, IL is Matteson, IL. a suburb of Chi. If you use the Hotels.com link, just change the search city to St. Louis, MO or Collinsvile, IL.

Sent an e-mail to motorsportsreg.com alerting them of the issue.

(finally got my username/password back so I can reply here)

Thanks Shawn and Tim for the headsup... we had seen this happen a few times.  It has to do with the coverage of our hotels partner and the need to fine tune the area we send them for certain tracks and locations.  "New York, New York" works great; they don't do quite so well with some of the locales where loud annoying race tracks thrive. :)
