Civic Si 2 different rotor sizes??????

So I went out today to put new rotors and pads on the car.  Get everything took apart and put the new EBC rotor on.  Caliper does not fit now.

Apparently the EBC rotor is 10.3 DIA  and the ones coming off the car are 9.4 DIA.    I looked on EBC's website and it list both sizes for an Si.  Anyone else have this trouble?

It sucks because my car has the smaller brake.  What needs done to fit the 10.4 DIA brake on the car?   Or just go buy the smaller rotor.

    92-95 Civic Si = 10.3" front

    89-91 Civic Si = 9.4" front

Honda did not change the front rotor size on any year 89-91 Si.

    I did multiple times.

Upon further investigation Si's could come with either one.  EBC, Autozone, Murrays, all have both listed for a 1990 civic Si.   Also the 4WD civic came with the larger rotor.

Anyway I went out and got new small Dia. rotors, then when I was pushing the piston in on the drivers caliper the seal started leaking so I went and got new calipers for both sides anyway.  $150 later she stops like a dream.  Carbotech pads are great so far.

Lucky I got the EBC Rotors for pretty cheap so hopefully I can sell em for what I payed.

I believe only the 94-95 Si's with ABS and the 90-00EX's and all wagons came with the 10.3" rotors.

My 92 Si (no ABS) has the 9.4"

10.3" I believe is the "Integra" rotor. Got used on the DA and DC Integra, and the '91 Civic EX sedan. 89-91 Civic Si should get the smaller 9.4" rotor.

Honda had so many variables in front rotor size when it came to chassis, ABS, trimline, etc. that it is hard to pinpoint what goes where sometimes.  But the point was that I don't ever recall the USDM 89-91 Civic Si having differently sized rotors during their production run.  I could be wrong as Honda often makes tweaks in the middle of a production run, but typically not in area of brake rotor sizing.

I think your right, but Im sure the parts stores have lots of bad info and confuse everyone. The only 88-91 Civic Im aware of that had larger brakes were the 90-91 EX sedans.
