    Larry,

It won't exist. SSB and SSC will be, and need to be rolled into the Touring naming convention, because what we have now is just plain confusing.

Before you all flame on: SSB becomes T3, SSC becomes T4 and the rules for those classes MIRROR the SS rules, so the class is aimed at showroom configuration. Additionally, you put in an allowance for Springs/shocks/tire size/weight on a car by can basis to allow adjustments among the slower cars to help steer away from car of the month.

Of course, the kicker here is a CRB and BOD that makes prudent and fair adjustments on a VERY LIMITED BASIS.

Current T3 cars get de tuned to fit.

So Scott, would that line of thought be what the majority of CRB or BoD is thinking?

If so, T3 folks might not be able to get adjustments this year?

Larry with the price of gas going where it is in 5 years we'll all be racing bio diesels or electric cars.

In all seriousness I'd like to see where this horde of diesels coming into the US market land for next year in terms of racing. Will they race? Gas isn't going down and this environment kick is going to spread it's way down to racing (already is).  I think SSC is generally thought of as the lower end market vehicles which happen to be generally environmentally friendly and usually good on gas and any plan for SSC in the future needs to include environmentally friendly vehicles. In fact I wouldn't be completely opposed to some of the current diesels receiving some competition "incentives" to make them competitive (or classed period). TDI jetta with springs, chip , and camber anyone?  I don't consider myself to be any kind of green earth activist but a blind man can see this stuff coming. And the thought of towing to, racing, and towing home on some used veggie oil sounds pretty good when I paid $100 to fill the truck up the other day to drive 300 miles.

I did a quick google search and found "rumors" of a TSX coming with a 2.2 liter turbo diesel.  I know BMW is coming with a 330D (but that will be way to fast for ssc). I read rumors of a BMW 320d (which would work).  I heard there were 9 diesels coming for next year but my limited search only showed the acura and bmw.  The problem with the current VW diesel is it would need some horsepower help. 90hp isn't gonna cut it unless it weighed 1900lbs and that isn't happening. So a "spec" ECU to pump it up to 130-140hp would be needed.

Did another search and found a few more models..... shame this BMW 118d isn't coming cause looks sweet! Can we allow grey market cars in SSC?
