    15x5.5 race wheel options?

I was just checking to see if anybody knew of any 15x5.5, 4x100 race wheels that are inexpensive.  I'd like to get some Volk TE37's, but that's a little more $$$ than I want to spend.  Thanks for any info.

Boy, the OE Mini "holies" are only about 12# as I recall.  Why spend the money on something that will be a pound or 3 lighter; if you're gonna run HS--the 16s are the way to go anyhow.

Actually, the Volks are somewhere south of 8 pounds.

Thanks for suggesting the Mini holies.  That sounds like it might be a much cheaper option.  I could probably get a set of used holies for the price of one Volk wheel!

Anybody else with any other ideas/suggestions?  Thanks.

    jsma,

Based on the photo you have posted in your avatar, your car seems to be a turbo GS car (or is that a decal of some kind on the hood?).  The 15" wheels aren't an option on the turbo car so I don't think you could run them anyway.  Your choices in GS are 16, 17, or 18.    Only HS cars could use the 15s.  If it is an HS car, you are correct that the stock 7-hole wheels are a great option and fairly readily available through e-bay or northamericanmotoring.com.

Nope, you're right.  That's definitely a non-functional hood scoop and not a decal; I do have a turbo.  The wheels aren't for the mini, just a potential side experiment.  Thanks for the input, though.

BTW, I'm not sure why anybody would want to run them, but I don't think 18" wheels are legal for a GS car since they're dealer installed.
