    bob,

thanks for letting us know, guess the guys who raced didn't have much fun, nobody's posting?  Hmmm Mark M wins with slower lap time than BP, TimM just a tenth back,I would guess it was a good one?  And BP finished, guess the A/S SSC cars are back!  Wink

Brad let these guys run with no Honda in the mix?  With the competition, I imagine Robby could have won B without the boss on the radio... ?  Rollseyes

Congrats to Mark on the win  Yes

Note to Ken Payson, et al.  These results bring up an interesting dilemna.  With the impending SSB/SSC consolidation on November 1, 2008, how do you slow down the Mini 3 seconds a lap to let the SSC cars have a chance, or speed up the SSC cars 3 seconds a lap?

We had similar finishes in the SSC Cobalt at Seattle and Portland last month.  Toby Grahovic's old SSB Acura piloted by a new driver, and an old SSB Miata 2+ seconds a lap faster.  How does the CRB equalize that differential????

Mebbe send the swiftest B cars to T3, and give them help?

The other B cars that are closer to C potential to SSC with some weight?

    Just posting a thought there.

Larry, we had a great time!  We got back to florida early morning today and just getting a chance to post.  Myself and Paul G were the only C guys saturday, everyone else just showed up for the race. As usual it was great fun visiting with the best group of folks, the SS/Touring crowd.  It's nice to see Brian's car make it through a race, looked like Tim and Brian had a good battle.  Also nice to see Eric Van Cleef back out there!  Like Brad Davis said it was strange seeing such a small turnout at atlanta.

I hope everyone had some fun...it was a laid back weekend mostly.  Full results are up at MyLaps: http://www.mylaps.com/results/newResults.jsp?id=829482&highlight=20

The tape wouldn't explain the race unless you looked at Qually chart.  Only 2 cars took times in Q1 and 2; so 3 guys started at rear.  Made an interesting start as 3-4 wide went thru T1.  Others can post up on any issues - I could see Tim keeping pressure on Brian but Mark made the best of that and sort of walked away after a while.  I couldn't hang around to hear the stories cuz the transporter downloaded a new grey thingee at the track that took my immediate attention.

Once again we had some SMs getting into the SS race - but the field entry count was way light at 21 (as was the entire National event) so there was less overall congestion.

5 cars in C helps some more since overall car counts are lower across the Nation.  Thinking the Double Nat in Memphis on Memorial Weekend + upcoming Sprints had a hand in that.
