    Re: Grenada, June 7 & 8

In celebration of my sister being born and annoying me for the rest of my life, I will be in St. Louis that weekend... So someone else can have fun winning street tire for a change.  What's that you say? I've never won street tire? Oh well... maybe one day.

There is a 50/50 chance I will be able to make this event.  I have two photo events in June and have summer classes too.  I will have a better idea about a week out from that weekend.

    NEW GATE.

Through the parking lot next to the fire station, then across the ramp to the white hanger and the sign-in table. All the other rules still apply.

Grenada has a new city council and a new city manager> let's don't screw up now.

    Read the supp's.

Great! I don't have to put my BMW in 4 wheel drive to get the event.

Well crap.  It figures we finally get to drive onsite without going offroad the weekend that I'll be moving away.  I'll have to drive over from Huntsville for the next Grenada event just for the principle of the matter.

Oh man that is awesome cause last time my cold air intake filter and header got covered in dirt and mud lol...good thing i had a filter cover otherwise i might not have been able to compete.  I also sold that along with my header and it was hard as hell trying to clean them up after that event..  And the dumb moron who bought them doesn't have a clue on how to get them installed.  ive been trying to help her but she is being real slow to respond oh well...  Im glad to be back in A Stock whoooot!!!

What time are we normally finished by on sat and sun?

Any chance we can have a skid pad/test area?

If we get started on time, we're usually done by early afternoon, maybe 3 or so.   As for a test area, that's up to someone like Skip, but we've never had one before.

Well we do trophies both days, and cleanup usually goes pretty quickly.  Maybe an extra 15-30 minutes on Sunday compared to Saturday.

    Re: Grenada, June 7 & 8

We usually clean up the track first than follow up with the trophies and it really does not take long at all maybe an hour as long everybody helps out.  Depending on what run group i fall into i try and pack up all my stuff once i am done racing before all of the racing is complete.  We generally run two times with two run groups (6-8 runs total).  I think we would understand if you had to be back on base for something.  So if you need to take off early thats fine....  Im sure you will enjoy our event....  Oh and we race three separate divisions - Open tire, Street tire, and Novice. According to what class your car falls into say like you might be in ex. DS then your time will be calculated using both your best lap time and your class PAX time.  You can see in our previous event results how it is broken down...  Good luck!!

    Re: Grenada, June 7 & 8

Two of our requirements for use of the Grenada site are complete removal of all objects from the ramp (pylons in the grass, overnight cars and trailers in the designated next to the white hanger)---- and all of our people off of the airport by sundown.

After the points event is done on Saturday, we may have some driver improvement runs (if enough people want to participate) ---on the Saturday course for registered drivers in registered cars - followed by course setup and marking for Sundays event.

After driver improvement, Sunday course reset, clean up, etc, we could do some skidpad/gravitycircle testing for registered cars/registered drivers. I would strongly suggest onboard analysis equipment --- without such equipment, all you are doing is risking oil starvation and beating up on your car.

So who's actually going to be at Grenada? For one or both days?

Specifically: registration, timing, tech, course design, Solo Safety?

Trophies are on hand, portapots ordered, trailer is already there.

Unfortunately, I can't make it.  My wife has to work this weekend which means I have to keep the kid.
