    Yep.

I am sure there will be something like 100-150 entries there; mostly the same people that run MKE & CHI SCCA/TRISTATE.  It's run just like an SCCA event--you won't be able to tell the difference.

Will be there to hopefully take 1st in STX, that is if Mike doesn't do better than me with his WRX again. Took 2nd on Sunday! Was really nice how the car handled.

Wink  Newbies, they crack me up.

    Like Erik said, 150 people.

I just worked on my civic for 5 hours and got all the suspension pulled off.  Now all I have to do is put the new bushings in, change the oil pan gasket, put in a new clutch, remount all control arms, get proper springs, put shocks and springs back on after I get new ball joints and tie rod ends, put on the rear sway bar, install header, take all a/c componenets off, get some brake lines for the rear, bend them to fit, install steel braided brake lines, bleed whole system, get tires mounted on new rims, get an alignment,.....

    Might be more, IDK

Hope to be there in the civic Party!!!

Congrats on the 2nd place finish.  I'm glad you like those tires.  They helped me scare the civics in STS last year when I switched to themSmile

Awww, c'mon, Man!  A couple of hours and a 6-pack, and you'll be good to go!

We have to diagnose the noise our car was making--it'll either be an inner CV or domething amiss in the diff.  Then I need to pray to the Koni gods that our strut makes it back from Truechoice...get that in, and get it re-aligned and cornerweigted.  I also want to try and source a slightly smaller RSB--junkyard Escort or Protege should work...just to have along and do some back-to-back testing.

I thought you bought a complete STS car.... LOL.  We've also learned that it's best to do one corner at a time so we can still make events.  If we waited until we finished everything on the STS car we wouldn't have attended an event in the last 2 years!

I'll be there with lots of cobwebs in the brain.  It's been a long Winter and I didn't make SCCA #1.  Now if I can just remember how to drive a manual.

Re: May 4th WAI Event at Miller Park?

I likely won't be there Sad

The Miata won't be attending WAI events, so I have nothing to drive.

It also part of "Project cut-back 2008"

Re: May 4th WAI Event at Miller Park?

Seems like there are several people on this cut-back plan...  we aren't attending CHI events, you aren't going to WAI, Cashmores are on street tires....

Re: May 4th WAI Event at Miller Park?

How about the TSSCC event the day before, anybody planning on attending?  If you didn't know their was an event on 5-3-2008 check out www.tsscc.org for info.  I won't be attending the tsscc but ill be at the wai event 1 for sure.  As long as nothing else breaks on the car...  It's not STS in a 17 year old car if something doesn't break!

Hmmm, is it May 3rd or May 4th?  Maybe I got the dates mixed up....I was told the events are mostly on Sundays and I got Sunday stuck on the brain...Cool, one day sooner!

There is going to be an event on both Saturday the 3rd (www.tsscc.org) and Sunday the 4th (www.waiautox.org).  Follow the hyperlinks to the respective event holders.  Both events will be held at Miller Park.

Edit:  Because I can't make links that work...

Thanks Ryan! Yeah the tires are superb! I can't wait to be able to run a 17x8 wheel with 235/40/17's RE01R on em.

I don't believe Pops or I will be there.  I for sure wont, and my mom tells me Pops wont be there either.  I'm not sure he knows yet though...

     we aren't attending CHI events,

That sucks. Not a good way to prep for Nationals IMO.

Now that Wynveen has joined the fat-car/power ranks of Cashmore and Padberg, we'll NEVER see another slalom in Milwaukee now. Stick out tongue
