source for 1/16" thick 4x100 spacers?
Anyone know of a place that has them? My wheels just barely don't clear the rear brakes, I've no interest in cutting the wheels, and have a good reason for not wanting to go thicker than is necessary on the spacer.

For something that thin, you can go find your local laser or waterjet job shop, give them a dimensioned drawings, and they can cut a custom spacer out for you out of .060 sheet aluminum. Make it full bearing. Probably pretty cheap.

I got to see it in real time in ATL. The dismount of the offending wheel was most impressive.

How quick do you need them? I have access to laser processing...... need ID, OD and it appears 4 holes on 100mm bolt circle? Ill make them out of mild steel, there will be a small cost involved but nothing too extreme....

Re: source for 1/16" thick 4x100 spacers?
Bimmerman:I also remember when I was running the old E30 Bimmer DSP car (also 4x100), my codriver came up with some really thin spacers, like 1/8 inch or less, that he told me were factory parts from an old Fiat (he was a little bit nutty, a real Fiat freak)... may be thin enough to work, if there are any to be found and he wasn't hallucinating.
umm, which co-driver was that and did he get the idea from me? Fiat X-1/9 has steel spacers about 1/8" thick but the bolt patern is 4x98. drill em out to fit, I've been running them over 10 years cause I'm a cheap SOB. I even have the .063 6061 AL layin around the shop, oh yeah, I'm a lazy SOB

If you're going to be a smarta$$ and not listen, then don't ask ;) That was a serious answer. Sorry you don't like it. You could always buy wheels that fit Rocwandrer:that's funny! any serious answers?

I clicked the likn but all I got was a bunch of this:

I would LOVE to have another copy of that video, had it saved on a harddrive that crashed hard. (And NO, there were no washers used on my computer that caused it...)

Re: source for 1/16" thick 4x100 spacers?
I'm going to make some out of 5052 sheet stock. It looks like there isn't anything out there for sale in this size, and making them from sheet stock will be way less work than machining down some thicker spacers.
