    Cooper S

I'm just curious as to which year is the perceived car to have?  The 07/08 models or can the supercharged minis still get the job done in GS?

    Thanks

from watching, reading, and listeneng to folks it appears that the newest Mini has a slight edge, however the difference is small.  at Topeka it might matter, but regionally i'd wager that either model would be quite competitive.

Apparently many of the top R53 drivers from nationals are wanting to get into the R56 or get out of the class.  I'd say the R56 superior braking ability gives it the nod.

I think it can be a bit course dependent as well.  The newer car seems to like sweepers, and coming off slow speed stuff, while the older car seems a little better in transition heavy stuff (runway type courses), just my 2 cents.  That said, I will be doing some more testing in an R56 this year for sure.

Just curious, are there any reliability issues with the R56.

We just broke our hood release at the AR Pro :)

I also heard that Ken Orgeron had a timing chain guide come apart *yikes* at 9k.

    What's he doing running at 9K RPM? It's not a Honda :-)
