Can the battery be located in the passenger compartment if if it's a dry cell battery?  Second Post!

Ha, ha! Good one, Patrick! The entire rule book is available online. Read the section on battery relocation and you'll get your answer.

I depends on what class you are in.  Which is why you need the rulebook.

It will be of little avail ... if the laws [or rules] be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood...

Guess I made a funny...wasn't trying to.  :) I had actually already answered his first post with pretty much the same answer....you need to know what class your in first, then you can find out where the battery can go.

"You need to start by finding out what class your in.  SP and ST rules do not allow it in the passenger compartment, but higher prep classes like Prepared and Mod may.  "Eveything from powertrain to tires" covers a lot of ground, and you need to review all your mods and see what puts you into what class.  You've read the rules but still don't know?  Sounds like your maybe building first then reading the rules after.  That's cool...you just may run into some surprises though.  Just figure out what your having trouble with and ask here...we can help you figure it out.  :)"
