So, it appears that Hoosier is indeed finally making a wide 13, with the 255/40-13 A6. Does anyone have any recent info on this tire, such as release date, pricing, etc...?

Also, what does everyone think this will do to SM with the recent Fastrack, giving cars running 275's and under? Should make for some interesting trophies (although I still don't think it will be enough to top the EVOs and M3's).

According to Hoosier, the first run of test tires in this size was produced last night. The tires must next complete the DOT testing process before production will begin. The current "tentative" arrival date to distributors is April 21st. It is possible this date may move forward or back depending upon how the production and testing process progresses.

Tire cost: $200 ea

Pre-orders are being accepted.

We just received a production update from Hoosier today.

The Good News: The tire has passed the DOT test parameters and is ready to be produced.

The Bad News: Because Hoosier is now in the midst of a very busy part of their production cycle, (race season is in full bloom) the current production schedule has pushed the tires availability to distributors back to the first week of June, per Jeff Speer@Hoosier.
