Camber and Toe correction.......factory attachment points.

Ok a BMW vendor sells a toe and camber adjustment kit. Basically eccentric bolts....To install them the rear subframe mounting holes are sloted, and the tabs that the eccentric bolt indexes in are welded alongside the factory mounting tabs. In the same location. (actually to the factory tabs, and subframe.)

Would something like this be legal, because of the S/T wording????

I would have linked a picture but it is only a picture of a bolt, nut and two small metal tabs......

In my unofficial opinion, no that would not be legal in ST or SM.  What's to keep you from "slotting" the attachment point upwards and/or inwards 2-3"?  They key point of SM is that chassis-side attachment points must remain where they are.

In SM the allowance to change control arm lengths any amount you wish, along with "free" spindles enables you to create whatever camber and caster settings you like.

Haven't looked at ST rules in a while but I'm pretty sure the camber kit clause only allows for adjustable arms or eccentric bushings, but no subframe slotting.

    Hope that helps!

No it only helps if I get the answer I want :)

That's kinda what I figured. The real solution would be all new trailing arms, but having the integrated hub carrier complicates things.....But oh well, looks like this'll be the best way to go.
