    Dixie Tour PAX/RTP Index Results

Attached are the Final (two-day) PAX/RTP Index results from the Dixie National Tour.  I'm sure it's been said elsewhere, but the Formula Junior classes, STUL, BSPL, ESP, FSP, DP, GP, AML, CM, EM, FML, ASL, BS, GSL, HS, and STS had pretty wet conditions in the first heat on Saturday.  The second heat came down to the third run, when the course got dry.  Second heat was ASP, DSP, CPL, EPL, SML, DM, F125, SS, ES, FSL and STSL.  If 2nd heat drivers had their act together for that third run, their Index times should be representative.  The rest of Saturday and Sunday had beautiful weather.

I am having some difficulties with my "script" for individual day Results.  Hopefully, Jack can get the glitches fixed and I'll be able to post those later in the week.

Congrats to Sam Strano.  His driving was an exercise in perfection.  Amazing to watch!!

    Thanks Rick!

Speaking of results....what happened to all the tire brands bring listed? I noticed all the Bridgestone listings deleted. I'm sure they wouldn't mind having their name where it belongs...on the top of the list....

I typed from a printout of the the posted run/work order and the "2L" got cut off of STS2L.  Thanks for the correction.

I'm not sure what you're looking at.  The only time the tire manufacturer isn't listed is when the driver didn't choose to provide that info. (??)

Re: Dixie Tour PAX/RTP Index Results

Michael Snyder, #41 FS, seems to be missing from the data.  His PAX time, 76.209, should be 5th on the PAX.  Perhaps he was skipped because there were two 'Michael Snyder' entries?

I'll look into the problem.  When I'm able to post the individual days, maybe I'll be able to post results that include #41 FS, Michael Snyder.  I can't respond to why this happened.  I've sent the problem along to my "script guru".  :-)

I will say, right now, that I'm sorry for the omission.  Hopefully, I'll get it fixed.  :-(

Re: Dixie Tour PAX/RTP Index Results

I have replaced the "Final" file at the beginning of this thread with a revised version that includes Michael Snyder (again, sorry) and it was also created from what the SCCA is now calling "Final" results, instead of yesterday's "Preliminary" results.

I should be able to post the individual day results later today.

Second fastest to CS!Stick out tongue

Rick, I was looking at the SCCA official results for the event that pops up online. It drops out a lot of the tire manufacturer listings. But...when I download the PDF file and open it, everything is there. Oh well...no worries.

Just a side note on SGMP. Times from the morning sessions are historically slower by about 1 second vs. the afternoon runs. So, take that into account when looking at the results. Temperature changes, amount of sand on the lot, and rubber laid down changes conditions greatly there. Sort of like HPT.

The temperature seems to make a large difference at SGMP.  HPT... not nearly as much.  Sand being the biggest issue at HPT.

Are you suggesting that F Stock had the best possible conditions on both days (fifth heat)??  :-)

Out of all the heats, Heat 5 had the best conditions both days. I'm a regular attendee of Dixie events, thus my experience with that lot.

Re: Dixie Tour PAX/RTP Index Results

I was running all over the lot.  In the morning I was doing it to warm up, not so much in the afternoon.

But I would have to say that I was moving much faster when I was driving the car, then when I was running around trying to warm-up and generate some heat.

PS----the urinals in the bathroom, by the concession stand that never opened, were much too close together, as I almost got splashed by a fellow competitor at the one next to me.
