    Huntsville Saturday Results...

    http://scca.com/_FileLibrary/File/Huntsville%20Sat%20Provisional-%20Res3.pdf

Enjoy... lots of stories.. to many to get into right now...

First heat, very dirty course, so try not to compare times from heat to heat.... Also a course change after 2nd heat...

Oh... and Bridgestones... working really well...

I'd like to say today was easy, but that was not exactly the case... :)

I hope you and the car made it safely back home.  Just glad to see you weren't hurt.  You and Andy were just on FIRE this weekend...

You're right the RE-01R's were phenominal.  Plus, the Bridgestone folks were Uber Cool.  Remember this, I TOO bent an SSR this weekend.Sad

Overall the event wasn't bad.  I found out the REAL damage on the way home that it wasn't just the bent wheel....the alignment was WAY screwed up too.  Perhaps that is the reason why my finish was fourth as opposed to second or third....NO ONE was going to catch Jack Burns...PERIOD!

I looked at the results a bit ago.  How in the heck was Jack running GS/DS times on Sunday?  Wow, very impressive. ;-)  Maybe the 07 MCS should be moved down to HS to compete with the Mazda3. lol

It wasn't me driving when the car went off... none the less thank goodness no one was hurt.

Its an amazing tire, with amazing support... what else could we want for the sport?

Hopefully yours aren't made in the unobtainium size...

Perhaps something with the before mentioned course change and/or dirty course situation.

    Re: Huntsville Saturday Results...

Sunday was very much speed maintenance... that tends to favor lower indexed classes, as those with higher indexes have no where to makeup time though accelleration.

    Re: Huntsville Saturday Results...

We couldn't use *any* of our power on this awesome, fun, but extremely technical course.  It required more patience than I have as well as staying within a few inches of the 'line' at any given time...something I didn't "discover" until Sunday.

There were no course changes between 1st and 2nd heats, it was for the third, which was after G and H ran.

Jack, of course, was also flying.

A handful of pictures from Saturday:

    Doug Allen in the turnaround

Lehman at the far end of the course

Robert Carpenter hitting the three wheel motion

Jinx doing the same, but with a different wheel

Brian Whitmire getting even closer to that cone

Great pics! I'm actually looking for pics to send to a potential sponsor, so if anyone has any good pics of my STX Civic #21, please let me know. I never got a good chance to have anyone snap some for me.

Also, anyone have PAX results from the weekend?..just curious...thx!

    Re: Huntsville Saturday Results...

Very, very speed maintenance course IMHO.

Cool picture of me and my ugly face.

Special shout out to A.H.-----made the event much more fun with you running in my class, and hearing that you were clapping, and getting all excited that I really sucked it up Saturday----made it way more fun for me, then it would have been otherwise.  And letting you get your hopes real high after Saturday, just made it a little more special for me when I crushed your hopes and dreams on Sunday.  Seriously the whole thing added more fun for me----win or lose.

PS.....Mike I did happen to take a candid pic of you when you were coming out of the port-o-let.  I think you forgot to zip your fly.  Hope you won't get mad, but I sold the picture to a ga y por no site.  Email me if you want the picture.  I would cut you in for some cash, but I only made $ 3 on the deal.

I'm happy to have made top 50(actually 49) in PAX.  I was driving the silver WRX in SM.

I finished 26th....wow.  Considering the company I was in, that was great!
