Ashe_WCM:So I can go buy a brand new Scion xB, Drive it off the lot to an AutoX and get told "Nope you can't run Stock with that Stock xB, You need to run in STS."
This needs Clairifying, as to what conditions the xB is eligiable to run, or just don't allow it to run at all, or my favorite get rid of this stupid addenum.
This isn't the 80's and the SCCA general public are not stupid peons, If a rule is going to be instituted without being put out for member comment, tell us what the reasoning for the rule is, just a simple line such as
" "5. General: Add to the unstable vehicle examples in 3.1, third paragraph: Scion xB. NOTE: The xB is eligible for STS. ( Due to the Height combined with the Narrow track of this vehicle the SEB feels that allowing this vehicle to compete on anything other than street tires would be an unacceptable risk)"
That would go over alot better than expecting people to treat the SEB as if it were Moses bringing down the next installment of the 10 Commandments
Why don't you shoot of an e-mail to national or call them up. sccaforums.com isn't even 'their' forum so you're wasting your efforts here. Want the info, ask the source.
seb@scca.com is a great place to start.
