    Course #4 - BRAVO!!!

No one was mentioned as course designer for the event Sunday....Great Job! to the unnamed hero.  We do not have the perfectly flat expanse of surface that touches the horizons and it can be difficult to come up with a design that is challenging without being boring.

I may not have determined the perfect line for the day but, I spent nearly as much time on the course as the pylons.  Riding with many different drivers in Heat 1, Driving/Riding in Heat 2, and working the final Heat - that layout was a blast.

Thank you to everyone who gave me a seat Sunday, I had a world of fun!

Nick Jackson was the designer.  It was a very enjoyable course except for the run when two cones jumped out in front of me.

Greg, I should have let you ride with me on my final run seeing as how I screwed it up.

Must agree, the course was a lot of fun, and very deceptive.  Unfortunately I didn't learn until I was done what Andy was telling us on the rookie walk about how the course would be a lot slower than it looked.  It was really easy to push both in and out of those corners way too hard, and have it feel OK, until it was too late to fix it.  It took me 4 runs to realize my very simple mistake of coming out of the last corner too fast into the end slalom wrong because of it.  Felt pretty dumb once I realized what I was doing.

I've done the last 3 courses - Bryan did the first one and I seem to remember it was incredibly boring :)

The July 4th event will be another of mine and unless someone volunteers I'll probably end up doing 90% of the rest of the courses this year

Mine was for sure a boring course. I seem to remember being concerned about the combination of cold, wet and the first event of the year. Opted for a quick, easy set up ove challenge and creativity.

I'd like to do at least one more to keep my autocross brain engaged and maybe weseal a co-drive from someone since its been awhile since I've actually competed. I might be able to make event 5 or 6. Seven is out, eight is too far off.

Nick, you're on a roll with some good courses. I understand from Dave that has caused you need to order a bigger helmet Smile
