Re: DC Pro - BS Protest/Appeal

McGeorge filed a protest that I taught Hector how to fart while going up a hill.  Thereby giving him an unfair advantage in power.

    ---------------------------------------

OK the real version........there was a 968 in BS with the A/C removed.  The guy said he could remove it because you could get the car that way from the factory.  The rest of BS said, "not so fast buddy".  Some Porsche guys were asked at the event about this-----(dudes that know about P cars.....Murry et al, and Faulkner was called)-----all said this was not available.....the guy has 10 days for the proof........

Lucy you got some splaning to do.............

As in "has no merit"?  As in "has merit but doesn't help"?  As in "has merit, it helps, but this competitor wasn't winning/in points/etc. and should have been ignored"?

Methinks that the funny is going over a few heads here.  Check the thread title... "BS Protest"?

Protests typically aren't funny.  I thought it was a pun until Rick said:

Agreed.  But, I think that the comment was intended to provide a little levity to the situation rather than to be a comment on the particular protest.

Re: DC Pro - BS Protest/Appeal

The Porsche *won* B-Stock by .6 seconds or so IIRC.

I did a brief search on the topic and it appears you can get the car in Europe without A/C, but they all had A/C here. I have no clue on the validity of that information though.

Looks like the Porsche is toast.  Here's a copy of a sales brochure:

Re: DC Pro - BS Protest/Appeal

As a witness to the protest, this one was an easy one. The 968's never came without A/C in the US. So, with that said, you can't remove A/C in your BS 968. From what I understand, the system's weight is fairly significant. IMHO, totally fair protest at the appropriate time with Pro series points on the line.

Do you know that as 100% fact or just guessing or did somebody that knows tell you that as gospel.  It might be it also might not be either way I will be at Toledo and legal.  I have found some interesting documents I will be submitting then we will know.

Re: DC Pro - BS Protest/Appeal

    Interesting or factual?

And as far as where I got my information...well, I will tell honestly I did not see it in writing except for what was posted earlier in this thread. But...On Sunday, I did take the word of 3 different very knowledgable, very experienced, long time B-Stock 968 drivers....as a matter of fact they were all past National Champions for what that's worth...

No dog in this fight...just calling it as I saw it.

Re: DC Pro - BS Protest/Appeal

OK thats cool but doesn't mean its correct even national champs are wrong sometimes.  Its just some of those same people were already wrong about other things with the car.  Someone told them to protest me not having a strut bar, but that was obviously wrong.

Re: DC Pro - BS Protest/Appeal

I will also be submitting documents in order to get to the bottom of this protest.

However their is one small problem------while reviewing said "documents" on my throne, they unexpectedly slipped out of my hands, and landed on a pile of my handiwork.

Does anyone know of a fellow soloist that can reconstruct these documents for a small fee ?
