    Finger Lakes ProSolo, July 26-27

There are still plenty of spots open for the Finger Lakes ProSolo in July. It will be held at the airstrip at the former Seneca Army Depot. More information about the event can be found here: http://home.rochester.rr.com/avery/index.htm

In addition, we have created a map with over a hundred hotels, campgrounds, restaurants, repair shops, etc. within about a 30 mile radius of the site. Click below for the full version:

If anyone has any questions I will do my best to answer them. Hope to see you there!

Toledo was tough.  All the car issues and no alcohol.  I need to make up for that!

Heck... I forgot the Toledo site was an airstrip and had the fireworks all ready to set off...lol

I'd like to try another pro, but MY car isn't one for a Prosolo. Maybe I'll drive my own next year to a few if/when I upgrade to a new ride.

What a contrast from the Tejas tour, where we had two kegs and a margarita machine!

Re: Finger Lakes ProSolo, July 26-27

Only 17 spots left! Big Smile

There are still an handful of classes that aren't full: BS, CS, FS, GS, ASP, BSP, SM2. Anyone?

Re: Finger Lakes ProSolo, July 26-27

I am registered in L2-ASP and I found out yesterday that the car I was planning on driving is not making it out to Finger Lakes, car will not be ready.  So I am definetely without a ride. I was hoping to get in two events in L2-ASP to qualify for the finale. Are there any ASP drivers who are registered for Finger Lakes willing to help me out?  I have already made all my arrangements to be out there, I would hate to just sit around and watch. Sad

Please contact me if you know of anyone or you can help me out lexy269@hotmail.com.

    Thank You!  Angie

if you're in L2 does it matter what class the car is?  could you do L2-CSP for example?

Yes it does matter, I called Nancy Downing to double check on this.  She told me that when running the L class you need to run the same class to accumulate enough points to qualify for the finale. If I jump into another class in L2 it will be like I am running single events.

At this point, if I cannot find another L2-ASP I would be willing to run anything even if its to make a class. I just would hate to not get the chance to run in Finger Lakes.

Re: Finger Lakes ProSolo, July 26-27

seems silly to me since it's an indexed class... but i guess rules are rules.  if you can't find an ASP ride and will settle for an STS car, you can drive my Integra.  i know, i know... FWD sucks.

yeah... it's going to be tough to get the car back together in time for NY. having to remove the whole rear drivetrain from the car to get the clutch out is a pain.

Angie, the car should be done for Oscoda August 2 and 3rd. I'm not sure if Wong is going or not, but we could fit you in somewhere. no charge to you because of this cluster-f.

Thanks for the offer!!  It looks like I found a ride for L2-ASP Smile, but if something falls through an STS car is always fun to drive!

Alex, yes I was planning on going to Oscoda.  Thanks count me in and a no cost ride is even better!!

Re: Finger Lakes ProSolo, July 26-27

    REALLY??!?!?

i wonder if she meant between L1 and L2.
'cuz that just doesnt make ANY sense otherwise. The class is L2, not L2-ASP. hell, they freak out about you having mutiple class letters on your car.

for S&G, i was considering running the STS2 car in L1 @ the finale (instead of ES), but this would change that.

Re: Finger Lakes ProSolo, July 26-27

Yeah Carrie its crazy, what I was told is that yes I can run L2 in any class car but if i want to qualify for points for the finale I need to make sure that I stay in the same class car in L2 for atleast 2 events. So I could not change different class cars and still have my points all together.  I will just have L2 on the car but in the computer system they will have ASP as the class and the points will reflect that when they total them up.

If you are planning on running STS2 in L1 for two events then you will be ok for the finale, but if you already ran ES in L1 for one event and then STS2 in L1 for another event its like you have run two single events and your points will be scored as two single events.

LOL...well Nancy said she checks all the events to make sure the points are properly posted accordingly.  I think its a little crazy but isn't alot of things with this sport???
