Otter: Which is exactly why this is a good idea. Peppler should be in pro, so he CAN have some competition. Let's make all the good drivers even better by raising the bar.

takes you out of end of year "class" trophies.. but creates a 1-5 or top 10 for overall..
Pro-Class should be the people "in the Race" for the Solo Cup at the end of the year.. Eg. the top 5 from last year, steve, chuck, kyle, scott, travis.
Peppler33CS: We have a bit of work to figure how to properly use the PRO class in the T&S software.
I vote we dump the soft-ware and go to AXware.
Or screw messing with what we have.. and read off pro-class based on over-all pax results.. same thing.. if someone is in the top 10 and doesn't have (PR) beside their name.. they don't count for Pro-Class trophies..
eg. the guy who got 2nd pax.. in HS.. 2nd place pro would have gone to Steve (wow, that is weird to even type.. 2nd place, to steve.... maybe we should all get used to it..

yes absolutely... but based on my comment above.. pro class drivers earn points.. to win the Solo Cup.

then offer them for sale for cheap.. to any member.. who did not compete in the pro-class.

we should have a simple spread-sheet.. with date, location, and a map link.. at VERY least..
then populate them with results.. ASAP!!!!

Actually, if you belong to any organization, you will the main problem is finding helpers instead of users. It's just seems to be the way of things. Let someone else do all the work so I don't have too... 
By saying FWR sucks, you just make people more likely to not to get more involved. As to rules, the rules are mostly created by the national office and in a lot of cases are there so that we can simply have insurance for our events. Around 1/2 of every entry fee is for the insurance. If the rule or determination was made on the regional level, there are plenty of voting Board positions available.  too many inactve people making retarded rules and determinations..

Gave me a break on the politics. That's just an excuse for people that are mad that they don't get things their way all of the time or aren't willing to fight for it. And just because you don't see someone helping, doesn't mean they are an inactive member. There are a huge number of things in the club that have do be done that no one ever sees being done. An example of this is the Treasure. He spends a huge number of hours on the club finances but one on ever sees it. Have you ever thanked him?
One question though, how can an inactive person make a rule or determination. By being a Board Member, they obviously aren't an inactive member. Maybe they are just active in a part of the club other then the part you enjoy? How about coming to a Board/Membership meeting sometime. It's a great way to find out all the behind the scenes stuff that have to be done to keep the club going. I would be happy to show you the ropes.

Aslong as clubs have been racing ANYTHING the same issue comes about. You always have a small amount of people doing the work and a much larger group just showing up to race. The "racers" are the ones who complain about how things are being run but are not willing to take the steps to make changes. I thought the event I was at went pretty well. It got started alittle late but it's early in the season and you have a new guy running the event from my understanding. The results have not been posted yet and no one seems to know who has the results. Thats a issue thats needs taken care of. In this day and age of computers people don't wanna wait for a news letter to show via snail mail to see who did what. The other issue i see from the outside that needs adressed asap is the online info. If I had not gone to a birthday party the night before the event and talked to a guy who knew of your event I would have never found it. I got home and tried to find your schedule online but all I could find was your 2007 schedule.
As a whole I think your event ran pretty well and thats really the key to keeping me coming back. So I guess everything I just said can be taken with a grain of salt because none of it will stop me from coming back.

What a bunch of crap. Its an open club with open board meetings. If you want to address the "retards" in person to get what you want, all you have to do is show up. I'd bet that you find the rules and decisions that appear retarded are made with a specific purpose in mind. If you have ideas or thoughts on how to do it better, I'm confident we (speaking as an elected member of the board) will listen and respond. We need your support and feedback to be what you want us to be.
If you are going to whine and rant on the forums, bring specific examples to document why rules and determinations are retarded. If you are short on data to support your position, leave your keyboard alone and go get the data. After all, you may be right and we can then fix it. If you don't tell us, I assure you, it will stay retarded.
The best way to get ignored by the people who can affect immediate change is to do exactly what you did above. Why? Because you called me personally stupid and gave no reason why you think I am. What is my motivation to respond? Should I randomly start changing things until I coincidentally make you happy or should I make decisions to support the specific comments from others who care enough to be specific? I'm going to chose the latter every time, without exception.
Oh, and if no one steps up to try to fix things, the politics will stay exactly the way they are. If you want to be on the board to have a vote in things, pick your position now, work with the person in the position currently to learn the ropes (what they do right, what they do wrong, and what they have to do because the national ofice says they have to), then run for the spot in the fall. The elections last year went the way they did because no one had visible experience in the club for the contested positions they lost. People have to know you to vote for you, know that you are capable of doing the job (and not just because you say you are), and that means being visible in all parts of club activity.
By the way, you pissed me off whether you intended to or not.

There currently are no "class" tropies at the end of the year. It is not a bad idea, maybe you should come to a board meeting and propose it?
