Its still in the computer, so whoever has the computer has the file. I bet Chris K. has it. I plan on exporting to a thumbdrive after the event, but I couldn't stay around (sick wife with kids)

2 thumbs up for pro class. I want to see Massey/Everest battle to the end in STS.
I think Peppler and Stroupe should be in Pro class.....along with the CP guys.
What is the advantage (or disadvantage) of the Pro class?

Re: Where can i find the results for event 1?
KBroeker:Peppler and Strope typically do not have competition locally...althought I do not know the story on the other SS guy on Sunday...Peppler has competition out of Indy Region...but does he have local competition?...maybe some CRXs, huh?...and the CP guys beat on each other as well...
Which is exactly why this is a good idea. Peppler should be in pro, so he CAN have some competition. Let's make all the good drivers even better by raising the bar.

KBroeker:I think the idea of PRO class is that the top drivers compete based on PAX, which is what I was already doing, and give local up and comers a chance at a class trophy, either for an event or for the season..
Does that mean that running the Pro class takes you out of the year end trophies?

The issue i see with PAX racing is that not all the cars run at the same time. Some surfaces crumble as the day goes on and makes it slower, some get better as the day goes on, and there is always rain then no rain. Do you guys feel the PAX index is fair to all the classes? There has to be a class that has a better index over other classes. I'm pretty new to the idea of PAX racing but I see alot of people paying attention to it now VS 10yrs ago when i was more involved.

The PAX is fair, if the course is set up similar to the events on which the PAX is based. The fact that it is so consistent over the years is a good indicator of said. The problem with local events on small sites is that those small courses are not the basis of the PAX. Taking nothing away from Steve Mieritz because he is very good, but when a Nationally comeptitive CSP car has the fastest raw time against nationally competitive prepared and mod cars (I'm not in that list as yet) at six of eight events, the PAX won't give you truly fair results. Do I have a system better than the PAX? Nope, not a chance. Can the courses be more fair in relation to the PAX, somewhat, but the small site will still limit the successfulness of that effort.
I am a supporter of using the PAX to compare times, but I also take it with a grain of salt, knowing that while it can make F Stock, ESP, CP and E Mod relatively fair with each other because oftheir similar archecture and configuration, it can't really keep STS and CP on level ground at a small site.
Like everything else, if you understand what is going on, and the math behind it, you can get good information and make good decisions.

Re: Where can i find the results for event 1?
Geoff and Gus are amazing! They smoked me big time at South Bend, its crazy how fast they make that car go. Pro huh?? I was in the novice school hehehe! I learned a bunch from Scott Lewis, even though we have about as absolute different cars as possible. Things like looking ahead, being more decisive with the steering wheel (rather then sawing away trying to be "smooth"), looking ahead, what a fast run should feel like, looking ahead, attacking slaloms instead of getting behind (I finally nailed it on Saturday... but Sunday I sucked at it but at least I realized I sucked at it), and did I mention looking ahead?
We have a bit of work to figure how to properly use the PRO class in the T&S software. We thought we had it setup, but it didn't apply any PAX index. So we wound up just putting the pros into the regular classes and manually ignoring them for trophies. Bill, you might want to keep that in mind when you get the results, the PRO guys should be grouped together based in index rather then STU/STS/STX.
As for competition, trust me I'm paying very close attention to your guys results.. especially Travis

All of the points are based on PAX results, so I guess I don't understand what to look out for...

The big question, based on Kyle's comments above, is whether or not the Pro drivers count to year end points at all or not...

Re: Where can i find the results for event 1?
I guess this was for whoever is posting on the website, it usually has a page for class results and another for pax results. I guess I was referring to the class results. I'm not sure who is maintaining the website currently.
As for year end points, I don't see why not, it should probably be discussed in the meeting.

Re: Where can i find the results for event 1?
Not to be obnoxious, but I know I will be competetive on PAX locally (giving full recognition to the fact that the sites we have in FWR are typically tight, with loose asphault, which would favor my drivetrain and my car)...and also acknowleging that I choose not to run two day Division or National events because I do have a young family and I already spend enough days away during the week for my job (Bill, you will experience this soon), so I have no other way to prove myself other than locally...so I decide that I do not need more hardware and am willing to give it up to someone who is still developing and to whom it might mean more...so, I really do not care if we even score PRO on an event by event basis...but I would like some sort of seasonal recognition if I finish in the top 5 for points on the season...and the only reason this is really coming up is that the "team"competition is based on this (PAX adjusted scoring), whether it is part of the official FWR "program" or not...purely my views only, of course...

Already there... and not too disappointed by it, to be honest. It is tough to be anything but excited with the first kid cooking in Ali's oven...
