not to worry about Scott,, the only reason he won last weekend was because that rattle trap of a car was making so much noise he lost his concentration and didn't run over any cones, just as soon as he gets the car sorted out he will be back to his old self,,  nice going scott

Hopefully, I will have the problem sorted out by Peru.  As for Milwaukee, well, it is just really to far to drive the car and I don't think I could get that kinda time off from work. I would like to go, but Peru is 4 hrs away and I can make it home before dark.

Nice job on the win Scott!  Sorry to hear you won't be making the Milwaukee Tour.  There's always the KC Tour on Labor Day weekend.   Here's a link to the "oh so official" SCCA announcement....   http://www.sccabb.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=6666&PN=1   Drive your car out, run the Tour,  park it in KC for 2 weeks, and fly back out for Nationals.   Arrowhead is a GREAT venue and KC is a very fun town!

That doesn't sound like a bad idea.  However, the week before Nat's is the week I prep the car to its maximum potential and tie up any loose ends.  Now, that's not to say that isn't a possibility, but I would need somewhere to park the car for two weeks.

My new front suspension (Lord willing and the creek don't rise) will be in next week.  No more Koni noises and creeking....that's all I am gonna say at this moment.

A little late on this one, but congrats on the P1 spot Scott.  Having run with you guys, I know that it wasn't an easy win for sure.

Hmmm that is not a bad idea.  Is 8 tours/pros enough?  Maybe I need a 9th...thinking....

Well, the new suspension is on the car.  Going to run it at Papa Johns tomorrow (similar surface and size to Topeka) and see how it does at least on asphalt.  Which reminds me, I don't see but 5 of us registered for Peru??  What's up with that?  Come on HSer's..y'all need to come.

Ugh.  We're half-considering it if the saturn runs that long.  We'll see how DC goes.

    Re: HS 2008

One reliable Saturn and an unreliable driver are now signed up for the Peru National Tour.

I guess I need to actually get my V710s mounted sometime soon.

Are there still Cone Clinics running before the Tour on Friday?

    Re: Milwaukee Tour

With the saturn running I really would like to do Peru...but with DC and Toledo surrounding it....it's probably just too tight.  Money and work schedule wise...

    Re: Milwaukee Tour

    From here

H Stock: The ultimate shitty car class. This class is dominated by Mini Coopers and Mazda 3's, but would be dominated by Saturns if they could keep them running for more than 25 seconds. H Stock is the only class where walking the course takes less time than driving the course. Let's not even get started on H Stock "Ladies"! The SEB is currently considering the addition of Huffys and 21 speed competition bikes to this class. However, this initiative faces serious pressure from the powerful "Mazda 3 Mafia," who have no way of actually being competitive with a human powered vehicle.

     Indifferent

They forgot about the Civic's and Subaru's place in that article...

Hummm....anybody running a 3 door, 2007 Hyundai Accent (not the Sport version with standard 16" wheels)? If yes, what sizes and width of wheels would be legal ? It's sold with 14" wheels.

In stock form, you can not deviate from the OE size +/- 6.35mm (1/4 inch) in offset.    That's some cheap rubber though.

    Re: Peru NT

Well, now my co-driver is signed up....HS better fear and shake!

Up to 6 drivers...anyone else coming or is this it?  Wow, what a sucky turnout (numbers of competitors) there is...at least the competition is good.  Not one driver in the class is an overdog.

BTW...congrats to Joe Austin for winning the Devens Tour (sorry so late to that one).  Wow, edging out Jacobs is a feat in itself.
