If I were in town this weekend I'd be all over it. I hear the return of Drew Ferguson will be seen, in a familiar car for those of us who've been around for a while.

John and Mirna will be there.  Since some of you will be coming to this side of the river the Schmid's will be hosting a post event BBQ SCCA drivers at our house, just 15 minutes from Wentzville.  Burgers on the grille plus a little slotcar racing.  Please RSVP by email to jdschmid@avalamarketing.com. I will send you back an address and directions.

    See you Sunday,

    John and Mirna

This is a possibility also, what scale slot cars?  I used to be really good at that.

I might show up.  It all depends on whether or not I want to confront my fears of the "crossover from hell".  Additionally, I seem to remember that a rally suspension does better on their surface.

P.S. If I show up, its only because of that guy with a picture of some crappy boat for his avatar. Additionally, its always nice to stalk John Powell and ensure that he does not have any glory Stick out tongue!!!!

True, I've gone once before and I don't feel I can go 10/10th's on all places on that lot.  The cross-over is interesting, since it is essentially a gate of concrete 'cones'.   I also recall they had a set of offset slalom cones when I went that were well within 50ft of a lightpole - I would say 25-30ft away.  I kept thinking if I lost it at the wrong time I could end up sideways into it.

Of course I just backed off a little on those spots so I knew I wouldn't have issues - and nobody else did either.  It was still a good time and I really need some local seat-time.

Oh and thanks for looking out for my feelings, always gotta keep me in my place huh....  oh your time is coming.  Unless of course it is you who has managed to manipulate RCE to delay my coilovers.

Sounds like a good idea.  I was considering driving down to Ozark , MO for the OMR event, but Wentzville is much closer!

Re: Need to Autocross before the Divisional? How about Sunday, May 18th @ GM Wentzville

Is Arshad the reason my camber plates have not arrived from RCE? I am starting to see a pattern.  The slotcar track is all 1/32.  The layout is not as big as some at the malls and such, but it is a good time.  I do have a range of cars to choose from including vintage 60's trans am cars up to modern formula one and prototype.

Arshad, if you beat me at Wentville (not likely and not possible if you stay home!) , there will be hell to pay at the slot track if you can handle it.  (pure unadulterated baiting!!)

BTW that crappy boat is a Sea Ray 55 Sundancer, one of the fineset express yachts ever built...

They have my camber plates too, but I had to send mine back to them so they could put new bearings in them.  The bearings are the holdup, I think we're all waiting on them.  I used to race slots at a track in Florissant about 15 years ago.  I was pretty good then, but who knows now.
