    Upcoming Navistar event.

Any ideas on the course yet? Gonna shoot for something close to the last event? There are a few of us coming to play I think so just wondering.

There was some talk at the last event of running the course backwards this time.  I hope they do, that was a very fun course.

It looks like Kyle, Bill, and I will be setting up course.  I think a reverse of the 1st event will be a good start, though certain points may be a bit different.  We won't know for sure until we get there and start laying down cones.  More help the better, I'm planning on having the truck there at 6:30.

Bill, can you email me Scott's email address?  We have the insurance certificate available via email.

You are going to skip the railroad tracks, right?

    Bart-

It must have been in a seperate thread, but we are setting up 6:30AM on Sunday.

     All-

Andy and I have been chatting a little about design elements.  I think you might find a few new ideas.  It will probably not be the complete reverse of event 1, but it will probably have some similar features, run opposite start/finish and have a comparable "flavor".  We will do our best to avoid the RRX, as I hate them too.

    Re: Upcoming Navistar event.

Yup, 6:30am.  Kyle has some great thoughts we are going to incorporate.  Same basic reverse layout with some new twists.  I need to get the truck to my house Friday night or Saturday.   I'll be back from jolly 'ol England tommorrow and still need to figure a way to get the SCCA truck to my house the day before.

I'll be more then happy to have others help in the AM in regards to setting up cones, chalking cones, setting up worker stations, timing and scoring, etc.  The sooner we get everything done, the sooner we start!

I'm also trying to verify chiefs (grid, tech, registration, safety,  am I missing any?), if any has already volunteered for any of these positions let me know!

    Re: Upcoming Navistar event.

    Yo, Safety Cheif, yo!

Actually, I am trying to figure out how to start the season as a Safety Cheif as my membership renewal is "off season" (January).  Do I need to get signatures ahead of my renewal and send the form in when I renew, or do I just need to act like a cheif for two events to renew during season?

The other thing is, do I have a conflict of interest if I participate in course design and do Safety Cheif?  Maybe I have just answered my own question.

    Your input is appreciated, Bill.

I'm doing registration.........lemme know what time you want me there.   We also need to add Gate to the work list.   Last event, I had to chase people down to sign the waiver.....needs to be a set job.

    Re: Upcoming Navistar event.

Thanks for all the responses!!!!  I'm back now, so that is good :)

Melissa, it looks like registration starts at 8am so as long as you are setup and ready to go by that time.  Travis, feel free to swing by when you can, we'll put you to use!  STS2 wont be empty, I'm going to have my dad codrive ya!

Anyone have a preference to work the gate in the morning?  This will be the work assignment so you are free the rest of the day!

We are getting the truck at 6am so we will not be ready for course setup until 7am.

Do not show up at 6:30.... please show up at 7!
