T1 is qroup 3, and T2 and T3 are in group 6- no times yet for them.
It is cold and wet, though when we went out it was dry enough for slicks.
T1 Q1:
1) Jason Berkeley 1:24.617
2) Joe Gaudette 1:26.475
3) Pete Kulka 1:27.574
4) James Barret 1:31.436
5) Phil DiPippo 1:38.659
Q2 is this afternoon, but it looks like it's going to be wetter out. I'll keep all posted.

David Pintaric:Good job grabbing the pole, JB. I see that Gaudette has his issues worked out. Being in front of Kulka is an accomplishment for both of you. Philip, what's wrong with the car?
David,
I got you message but lost your cell number, can you PM it to me?

T2 Final: 1) Bill Ziegler 1:14.177 2) Brian Kleeman 1:14.362 3) James McCarthy 1:16.212 4) Charles Keane 1:17.691 5) David Brand 1:16.990 Real good race out today and we lucked out as the rain stopped a few groups before the race. I spun in the oval during qualifying and almost killed myself so I was happy that it dried out! Good seeing everyone again :)

T1 Results:
1) Joe Gaudette 1:21.549
2) Jason Berkeley 1:24.377
3) James Barret 1:24.965
4) Pete Kulka 1:24.659
DNS Phil DiPippo
It was another cold wet day at NHM(I)S for the race. Tough call on tires because it was cold, and had rained all morning, but it stopped raining and was lightly misting at grid time. Radar showed it was most likely not going to rain any more. Pete Kulka gambled and ran on slicks (figuring they would be the right choice for when things dried out), I ran on Hoosier H-Wets- as did Jim Barret, and Joe Gaudette ran on older Good Year rains.
I got a great start and had a pretty good sized lead for the first half of the race, with a couple of GT and.or AS cars between me and the other T1 guys. The track started to show a dry-line, about half-way or so. Around lap 11, I had a big tank-slapper going onto the front straight that almost put me into the wall. I managed to haul it down and save it, but that let Joe Gaudette get right-up my tail-pipes.
As the track dried, I think my tires just started to get overheated, and the car, which was awesome in the wet, became a real handful. Joe G, on the otherhand, was definitely quicker than me at that point (as his fast lap shows!). I held him off for a lap or two, and than he made a great move on me exiting the bowl going up the hill on the back part of the track. He opened-up a nice gap after that and just drove a great race!
Congrats to Joe on his win and a great race! Good seeing everyone again- too bad it was another cold, wet start to the Northeast season!

Hi Jason, Getting passed from behind in the rain by red corvettes at NHIS is becoming a trend with you!
He may have had those super goodyears that were coming out back in 07. Weren't they supposed to be some sort of super rain tire?
Posts tend to be informal and comments that may have been made verbally with a smile or positive body language, may be taken literally and their lighter context or connotation missed.

Nice, you bonehead! For those who don't know- Kesselberger is referencing a rain race at NHIS a few years ago where he passed and beat me!

Evan,
I don't know about those tires being special or not. We bought them in October 2003 at theRun Offs; I ended up selling them to Joe at the 2006 Beaverun race when I was unloading all of my Corvette stuff.
