Instead of running Hoosier rains on a cold, rainy day, could I run Bridgestone RE-01R's? What rule could I quote if protested?

I don't think you would be protested to running any DOT tire instead of the Wets. The thing that you would loose is the contingency money from Hoosier if you would run on something else!
