I am feeling left out, I really need to get a MaxQ at some point.  I would have been very interested to see how fast I was going by the end of the slalom.

I'm thinkin' I need to get one of those as well.

It felt like I was going about 87mph at the end of the slalom...but then the 'ol Flux Capacitor let go...and I spun.  Dang!

Is there a way we could all post our best runs in some file database after every event for comparison?

    It would be sweet!

Also, Tim or Chris, one of you needs to change your avatar to have the car going the other direction or something.  It always looks like a double post. Stick out tongue And Erik goes and does a triple that were all his.  Those are hard to stick the landing.  Good work Erik. Party!!!

Problem solved?  I should paint the MR2 blue anyway.  Red is an evil color.

late to jump in on the fun, but....

i loved the course layout, and a 2nd in F doesn't hurt that either... still learning how the car handles, but definitely a step in the right direction.

and i only popped the limiter in the srt once on the back slalom, i must not be going fast enoughCrying

Got you beat.  This will be #42.  I don't do anything willy nilly.

    Re: WAI 1 (5/4/08)

Kevin Bailey's MR2 comment was always "If you hit the rev limiter 6 times in 2nd gear, you should have shifted to 3rd".  I found that it was even less.  DA showed the intake gasping for air and the power falling off even before you hit the rev limiter.

Someone with an FTP server could store the run files.  Unfortunately I can't offer one.

What about using Yahoo Groups - Chicago Autox?  You can upload files there.

MaxQ Data has a Wiki we could use too.

It'd be nice if SCCA Forums had file upload.

    Re: WAI 1 (5/4/08)

We can post attachments to the forum but the file has to be a certain type aka .zip, .jpeg exc...  If they would add the .mqd file required to upload maxq files we could upload them into discussion threads.

    Re: WAI 1 (5/4/08)

This was my first event and I have to say I enjoyed it a lot.  I just need to learn all that my car can do.  Was not till my 6th run that I was starting to get a feel for her.  I was wishing so hard I could have gone right back out to do a 7th because I knew where I could have picked up more time on the track.  I never hit the limiter the whole day.  But one large problem  I had was my still OEM brakes that came on the car when new and had 53K.  I fixed that last night.  I had some bad brake fade.

    Re: WAI 1 (5/4/08)

They had "instructional runs" at the end of the event where anybody willing could have gotten 2 more runs for a buck a piece.

Just wondering I am looking to save a few bucks and pre register but I just became a member on the 4th.  How do I get my membership number so I can register?

    Re: WAI 1 (5/4/08)

I know they were having some issues with getting membership setup online... you could contact them at webmaster@waiautox.org (only email I could find for WAI), although, Paula Scott is the person who handles registration.
