Gauging interest: Pre-Tour Thursday Test & Tune

    Folks:

It is looking like Milwaukee Region will host a Test & Tune on Thursday the 17th of July, just before the National Tour.  While very likely, we would like to gauge the interest level before we commit to the date with the Brewers.

The tentative plans look like this:

    - run 9 AM to 4:30 PM, one 1.5 hr work assignment

    - 45 person hard cap

    - will fill with annual members first, if there is room left (unlikely) then weekend members

    - two courses, each about 28 sec long.  The East (right) will be the usual, I plan to tweak the West (left) course to flow a bit better, just a tick faster, and make the far sweeper a left hander to help even tire wear and give the opportunity to run a big sweeper clockwise or counterclockwise.

    - $75 entry fee per driver

With this setup, there is rarely a line to get on course, so basically you can run ‘till you drop or until you have no tires left.  If you are interested, please send an e-mail to wynveen at gmail dot com.  Again, this is only to gauge interest.  Actual registration would be some weeks away yet.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I'd be interested... especially if the Bridgestone Support Trailer is there on Thursday, then I could have my Tour tires mounted up and scrubbed in/tested by the end of the day...

Re: Gauging interest: Pre-Tour Thursday Test & Tune

To add to what Jason posted, we will be running three courses that day; one Evo school course and two TnT courses.  The lot quadrant we normally run grid from is fully large enough to support a course.  Our normal paddock quadrant will be used as paddock and grid for this day.  Multiple grids will support the Evo school and the TnT courses.

Just to allay any fears, there is adequate room to run three quality courses when we only have to support a small quantity of people in paddock.

Not to stray too far off topic, but is a Challenge School planned for Thursday?

I'm pretty sure they are doing  *A* school.   We are pushing for a challenge school, but nothing decided yet as far as I know.   I just need help ;-).

Re: Gauging interest: Pre-Tour Thursday Test & Tune

Registration for the private Thursday Test & Tune is now open, available from the Milwaukee Region SCCA registration site:  http://register.scca-milwaukee.org/

The intended schedule looks like this:

    - run 9 AM to 4:30 PM, one 1.5 hr work assignment

    - 45 person hard cap, pre-reg only (absolutely no on-site registration the day of)

    - $60 entry fee per driver

There will be no refunds if you register and then change your mind.  If you can find someone to take your place and pay you for the spot, that is between you and your replacement.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Re: Gauging interest: Pre-Tour Thursday Test & Tune

hey guys, i'm trying to register, but i can't create a login account without a scca number.  Jason and a few others know that i paid my dues last event, so how do i find out my number and expiration date so i can register?

    thanks!

Re: Gauging interest: Pre-Tour Thursday Test & Tune

when I first registered I put "pending" in the scca # and expiration fields.

Come to think of it, I wonder if I ever updated that...
