Finding a track day is really easy.
First, go to the www.msscca.org wbsite, click on Links, scroll down to racetracks, then go to that site for schedule info on NoProblem - Baton Rouge, Barber Motorsports - Birmingham, Talladega Race Course, Talledega -----all host track days.
Texas World Speedway - Bryan TX, Texas Motor Speedway - Fort Worth, Houston Motorsports Park - Houston, Gateway Raceway - St Louis. Nashville Speedway - Nashville, Road Atlanta - Gainesville ------------All have track days.
All of the above, you may have to look at several sanctioning bodies to find a convienent date for you. Try the local SCCA region near the town --- you can find a region map on the main SCCA.com website -- for the region race schedule.
NASA has lots of track days - Shane will be glad to tell you about them.
Trey Williams has posted an S2000 event at Talladega June 6th on another location on this forum.
Some tracks have private dates, NoProblem, Barber, Hallett. And private road racing programs.
Just look around, you can find more events than you've weekends and/or money.
Oh. What is necessary to do track day? Mostly show up with a safe car, a decent helmet and money. The event entry info will tell you the minimum requirements and how to register.
