4th gen Camaros can break the swaybar brackets, especially in F-Stock where you can have a strong bar and relatively weak springs. I threw up some pictures of how I strengthened my brackets (thanks for the idea goes to the folks at http://www.frrax.com ). I'm curious, is this a Camaro only thing, or do other cars suffer, too? BTW, I'm sure this is F-Stock legal to do, as it is a bolted on part of the swaybar, and some prominent F-Stockers have done it.

Haven't heard of many other cars tearing up their brackets besides Miata.  Agree...looks legal to me.  You're just fabricating a better bolt on bracket, and front sway bars and brackets are free.

As long as everything mounts up to the original holes, it would have to be acceptable either self fabricated or after market.  Ask Sam about those brackets on the Shelby at Dixie.

The steeda bar comes with the typical steel brackets with red poly-bushings, but that billet aluminum one by steeda with the black poly-bushings weighs about the same as the steel, but is much stronger....

Since you can add a swaybar to a car that never had one,  you are not limited to stock holes for attachment.   BUT, and a big BUT, the swaybar mount can serve no other purpose, so no connecting subframes or other fun parts.

100% legal, the bracket is considered part of the swaybar as long as the bracket does nothing else.  For a 4th gen F-body, it does nothing else.

Even front wheel drive cars can run into problems with tear out at the swaybar mounts.  Integras and Civics can use the stock swaybars without trouble, but a popular mod is putting the thicker Type-R rear bar on these cars.  It works, but without extra bracing the holes rip open.  In that group there are suppliers who sell small brackets to a big plate that spans the entire width of the two mounting locations - reinforcing the whole thing.

My S2000 just broke a FSB mount.  After that happened, I researched and learned that this is pretty common for this car too.  Mine lasted about 2 years.
