    Re: Texas National Tour

Per the contract Texas Region has with the National Office, there can be no publishing of the course maps prior to the event.

The earliest we can give out maps is at registration.

    Sorry, not my rule.

yeah it is just me in vegas :( well at the airport and brought the helmet. hopefully the work schedule will allow me to drive at the event.

and hopefully some one will let me be there tire warmer ;)

I don't think Thomas Hiramoto has a co-driver.  You can find him on the local miata forum. http://forums.dfwmiata.com/ "Miatamoto" is his name.

His car is fully prepped.  And he was only about .3 seconds behind me at the last local event.  Defintely a good driver and a cool guy to boot.

hmm got to figure out if the work schedule will allow me. working 6pm ish to 6am on saturday and not sure for sunday. as much as I would love to drive (brought the helmet too) with running first and working last I can't see being able to get it in. Probably try and just make it out for the morning runs so I can visit with everyone.

So does that mean spokes will be showing up for the food only Andy? Leaves more Shiner keg and margarita's for the rest of us!

As I recall, at last year's Texas Region Divisional, we confiscated the keg and brought it to the Biergarten!

    Party on!

    --Andy

PS: After the week I've had, I'm pretty certain that "Don" will be making an appearance.

Confiscated??! You Spokes guys begged me for 10 minutes to give you the Bud Light keg that we couldn't get people's pets to drink!

We'll manage to have a good time with or without you guys...we always do! ; )

    autoxmax:
Some additional news pertaining to the Texas National Tour:

The National Staff has decided to waive the late fees for the Texas Tour registration. So, all you procrastinaters & Income Tax refugees have 5 more days to enter the Tour!

But, Friday evening May 2nd at the event site is the absolute last chance you have to enter the event!

No new entries will be accepted after 7:00pm Friday night!!

Also, if you need additional meal tickets for the Saturday party, tickets will be available at registartion on Friday night & Saturday before dinner.

Additional tickets are $15 each & include the all you can eat BBQ, Beer & Margaritas. Plus, it will also count as an extra ticket for the raffle.

If people need additional Saturday meal tickets, we need to know in advance so we can let the caterer know before Thursday!!

    Please email me at: autoxmax@tx.rr.com

This only pertains to the Saturday dinner. Friday's welcome party is open to all.

what is the best way for me to register for the event? can I register online or maybe fax the form over? I can't make it to the site unfortunately

I saw Thomas at the TnT.  And he said he would be open to a co-drive.  I'd recommend leaving earlier than 7 though.  Coppell is a sold 20-25 minutes from the site.  You should try to make it to the welcoming party tonight!

Well, hmmm.  Stuart was right.  The tour was a blast!   All the beer, margaritas and BBQ you could eat.  Sunday's course ROCKED, and the weather was terrific.  Thanks for putting on a great show.  I'll leave the surface for others to complain about, but I had a great time and am glad I went!
