Ditto, great course and great trip last year from SoCal.  We are planning on being at Ft. Worth....and relocating permanently the following month to Austin.  You Texans have grown on us!

I'd consider the TX tour if I wasn't already signed up for both Atlanta stops in May.

Now, where did I put that delete button

I was wondering why I didn't recognize your car from local events ..........your location isn't actually austin yet.

The Ft Worth Tour will be my first dropoff of stuff in Austin...it's very difficult to move when you're broke and have a 14-month old, and my wife still has a few weeks left in her 5th grade class....we've left CA in our hearts Smile

California must be REALLY progressive now. They let you marry 5th graders there? Wink

I'm sure our local BM contingent will be out in force. Hopefully some others will make the trip in as I don't think you typically see so many BM competitors in one place without going to Nationals!

He is not.  Roger is from Houston Region.  This event is hosted by Texas Region.  As I recall course designer is Greg Piper, who drives an FM F500.

hehe.  Job offer for my wife in Houston (eeeeew!), we may be out there next month for a visit.  I am more interested in the Austin area!  We are looking for a small house to rent, not planning to purchase for about 5 years....keep your eyes peeled for me for good (read: inexpensive) rentals from friends and family, will ya? Smile

Yeah, that whole thing is nuts.  My mother-in-law is from San Angelo, "we" still have a farm out there.  Crazy!

    Re: Texas National Tour

Houston has tons of events and such :P     goofball.....its not bad at all ;)

As for tire service at the event.....I have no idea....but there are tire stores in the area that we can direct you to in a worst case.

As well as region members who probably have machines as well. :)

No tire support trucks if that's what you were asking.

There are tire places somewhat close by to TMS.

    Re: Texas National Tour

Quick change of plans with the current gas prices, it would cost me over $400 just in fuel plus two nights additionally at a hotel.

Flights roundtrip from SD to DFW is only $269 per person on cheaptickets.com

Any of the H-Stock guys need a codriver, or any classes that are a little light in turnout??  Please let me know before the cutoff date, we are working out budgets and timelines right now!!

    Re: Texas National Tour

Just a reminder to anyone waiting to the last minute to register for the Ft Worth Tour Event:

Starting Monday, April 28th, late fees apply!!

Wednesday, April 30th the late fee increases yet again! You can do a "walk-up" registration on Friday evening, but increasing late fees make that an expensive option!

Avoid the late fee mess & register before Monday, April 28th!!

    Re: Texas National Tour

What's the hotel situation looking like? I checked scca.com and got links to the Sleep Inn and to the Marriott. The former looks like it's booked up for the weekend (understandable). The Marriott site is telling me that the SCCA discount code isn't valid for that date range (check in 5/2, check out 5/4). Is that because the block of rooms is full, or should I pick up the phone and call?
