    Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arms

OK, I'm pretty sure that these are illegal in street prepared, but I'm just making sure. The bushings are OEM type, but I'm not sure if adjustable length arms are legal...

    Thanks...

Unless the rules say you can do it, you can't.

That said, I only see one mention of an allowance for aftermarket suspension arms of any kind: upper arms on a live axle suspension.  15.8.H.4.

Not sure what car you plan these for, but I had them on my STS 240SX, and they had adequate rubber % to be legal.

You can run a Street Touring car on R-compound tires in Street Prepared as long as you don't otherwise go beyond ST prep.

     So there you go... :)

It's a 1990 240sx, but I'm swapping in a engine from a '91, so I need the update/backdate part of the SP rules, plus I don't have all the emissions equipment...

Sounds like maybe you're headed to SM?  The adjustable arms are legal in SM.

No, I'm prepping the car for SP, I was just trying to find legal options for adjusting rear camber...it doesn't look like there is anything out there.

Whiteline makes offset polyurethane bushings you can use in the control arms and knucles that will give you a couple degrees of adjustment. Try Don or Cory at PDM-Racing:

I guess you've figured out what happens to the rear of a 240sx when you lower it-    //===\\   right?    Offset bushings in the upper and lower arms (inboard and outboard) and then raise it back up till you can stand the camber.  Too bad STS gets adjustable upper arms and SP doesn't but it is what it is!  Enjoy!

    Hi,

Dragging this one back up because the April FastTrack has proposed changes to SP, one of which is to copy the "camber correction" language from ST into SP.  It makes sense from a class progression standpoint and I commented in favor.  Check out the April fasttrack and if you want to comment, send it to SEB@SCCA.com

Looks to me like STS 14.8.I covers it one way or another.
