    CAFB base access registration

Online base access lists will have to wait until the next go-round. We're going to do it the old fashioned way:

    • Access the form here
    • Read the instructions and fill it out very carefully
    • Read the instructions again and ensure that you've followed them
    • Read the instructions again and review your form for correctness
    • Email the completed form to msscca@gmail.com

These must be submitted by noon on Sunday, March 2.

    Re: CAFB base access registration

Only two full days left to get your forms in, and I've only received about 10% of the number that I expect to eventually get.

For those who have already sent them in, I have them and will be processing them (and sending you a confirmation email) soon.

Just a little over 12 hours before forms are due, so send them in! I expect a good turnout for this event.

Final base access list is here. If you're not on the list you're not on the list.

Sweet! McLovin's coming. What's he (Kenny) driving? The Buick Lacrosse? 'cause that would be insanely fast, from what I hear...

Turns out I won't be able to make it Saturday.  I'll be on my way back from Houston, but I'll definitely be there Sunday.

What's that you say?  I've always had game.  I just hide it by driving my minivan-looking civic.

    Re: Columbus autocross, March 8-9

The general plan for those helping on Saturday is to arrive at around 8:00, give or take 15 minutes. We'll set up the entrance for waivers/registration, then we'll put up the pennant string to section off the site. Brian won't be there until about 9:30, so we'll throw some cones out and attempt to make a course from scratch, and his perfectly-designed course never actually sees the light of day. While that is going on, I'll set up registration and timing with the help of a couple of folks.

Some specific roles that must be filled are: tech inspector (Phuong volunteered for this, but we could use one more), waiver/registration management (Skip usually starts this, but he needs an assistant or two), and course setup (throwing cones out, arranging them, marking them).

A couple of other things I'd like to try for this event:
    - A dedicated announcer: Calls out times and cones, general commentary - James Ree where you are?!
    - A novice chief: Does a novice walkthrough and is the point man for first-timers

See you nerds on Saturday. Bring a sweater.
