    Ken Daby

We lost a good friend yesterday.  Ken Daby from the Corvette Club passed away yesterday from complications from a perforated ulcer surgery.

Although he was very active in the Corvette circles, he had only started to enter some SCCA events.  Last year, he ran his first TSD rally in an effort to learn more and to try to bring this venue to the Corvette group.  He also entered his "show car" in the Solo Shoot-Out, to help show other Corvette owners it's OK to bring out your toys to race.

He was a kind, mild mannered man, always happy, and hard working at any task for any of the groups in which he was involved.  There will certainly be a huge gap left to fill.  He will be missed by those of us that had the pleasure of knowing him.

    Re: Ken Daby

I remember Ken from our Corvette Club / Pan Am Region autocross day. Ken was eager to participate, loved to talk about his car, and was polite and fun to talk to.  I'm sure that anyone who had a chance to talk with Ken will also be saddened by this.

    God's speed Ken.

Ken was a very nice fellow.  I remember at last year's shoot-out I needed a quart of oil and he gave me one and wouldn't let me pay him for it.
