I'm way too lazy to do it that way! I want to scrub in two sets of tires so putting them all in the car plus my cooler will be a problem. I'm really not wanting to put Hoosiers on public roads either!

Someone on another site was asking...."Can a car with T-Tops enter without a Rollbar?"

I would think factory T Tops are the same as a Targa Top

so... (it must be connected with factory supplied connections but,

All convertibles/targa top vehicles must have a roll bar that meets section 18 of the TTR or a factory hardtop."

So put them on and have them sign up!

But how much support do you think that Bar has?

Why don't we give Carl a car that has T-Tops and find outStick out tongue [:P]

It looks like Chak has registered.  I can't remember what he replaced his WRX with when he sold it, but he's showing up in a new Legacy GT for the PDX.   Now maybe we can drag him away from work some weekends to come autocross with us tooBig Smile [:D]

Tongue Tied [:S] Re: PDX Track Day May 21, 2006 in St. Louis Region at Gateway Raceway

I have a question, should I leave my Hoosiers on or street tires? The street tires are garbage tires. I am really looking forward to this. The old T-Bird should be interesting out there. Do we have classroom time first, or how does this work?

Re: PDX Track Day May 21, 2006 in St. Louis Region at Gateway Raceway

Drivers meeting and classroom session at 8am for about 45 minutes

Then break into 4 groups - 2 novice, 1 intermediate and 1 advanced

each one goes out for 20 minutes - no down time between groups

you get in grid once the one before you leaves

Instructors ride with you and as you progress they sign off on you, or you can request that they stay with you.

Lunch 45 minutes around noon then back at it again

Tires are your choice - maybe start on one and switch later

Will instructors be required to ride with the advanced group? I may have to scramble for a seat and belts for that side if so.

Go read the rules, I believe you MUST have a seat to pass tech.

Jerry Ackerman from Ackerman Toyota is bringing a Turbo Toyota "Superblaster" 700hp to the event.  Sounds awsome!
