1988 Honda CRX SI, I just built this car this winter so just about everything on it is new. Hate to look at what I have invested, but I'm sure it is north of 10 grand.
1991 CRX SI block full deck height, no milling, no numbers (this is common with the 91's Honda was using up replacement blocks)
Honed stock bore with new Honda factory rings and bearings all stock replacement original sizes.
New Factory head gasket
1988 CRX SI cylinder head completely rebuilt, not milled, full factory height
New distributor, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, factory cam and crank seals, Honda oil pump
chipped and socketed ecu with launch and 7700 rev limit
I have roughly $2600 in the engine alone.
All new urethane bushings, control arms, outer tie rods, new steering rack, trailing arm bushings(Honda)
Moton Motorsports double adjustable remote reservoir shocks
Ground Control rear and Hypercoil front springs All new
ASR 32 mm rear bar
New brake pads, shoes, hardware, calipers, wheel cylinders.
Transmission was rebuilt by previous owner and shifts fine
New clutch kit factory
Cold air intake with two configurations
Custom exhaust ( short ) with titanium Micron Muffler and high flow cat weight is around 10lbs complete from header back
Lithium Ion battery 2.2 lbs
Sparco seat and suede steering wheel
949 racing 15x7.5 wheels version 4 at 10.8 lbs
205-50-15 Bridgestones with around 60 runs still 5/32
Body was wet sanded and rust on rear quarters was fixed and then the car was wrapped
I've built 3 cars that have run in this class and 2 have won nat's, this is really a no excuses car built to the rules and 1000% legal in every way
$8000 price is firm
Custom 83"x12 ft trailer with tilt bed and brakes, can be had with the car for $1000 extra, I just payed $1600
