0 Replies and 906 Views Pan Am Region Timing and Scoring Training  906  0 Started by  Lehrschall Pan Am Region Members and Friends, I will be going through the system setup and Axware timing software use on Saturday, February 7, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. We will do this at my house and lunch will be provided. We have only a few members with system setup, registration, and timing experience. The Pan Am Region needs members to run this system when we are not available. (We cancelled an event last year because we did not have enough workers for this and Safety Steward positions). ...

1 Replies and 1048 Views Part Two......  1048  1 Started by  ZOK Pan Am contingent all qualified one place higher today at PIR; Czacki on SSB pole officially; Gerardo 2nd FC; Kowalski 3rd SM. Jose led briefly and ended up 3rd to grab another podium finish. Mark K could not hold his qualifying position to the end and had to settle for 4th in the 10 car SM field. Stan led flaf to flag in SSB holding off the Hardin Honda of Richard Crites that finished 8th at the 2008 Runoffs. Hope this post goes this time as it's my third attempt on a weak wireless connection....

0 Replies and 907 Views Czacki Wins, Gerardo 2nd, Kowalski 3rd  907  0 Started by  ZOK In a strong showing by Pan Am members, Jose Gerardo went from his 3rd qualifying position to 2nd in FC during the caution marred 3rd race of the 1st day of the Phoenix International Double National event today. In race 4, Stan Czacki took the SSB lead from his second qualifying position on lap 6 and held it to the end. Stan also had the fastest SSB race lap and qualifying lap but was moved to 2nd qualifier after a stewards action for dropping wheels off course during his 'flyer' lap(observed bei...

1 Replies and 1101 Views Team Pan Am Club Racer attends National Event  1101  1 Started by  Richard Dziak Our very own Team Pan Am Club Racer Stan Czacki will represent the Pan Am Region SCCA this weekend when he races his 1999 Camaro in the Class SSB at Phoenix International Raceway. This will be his last National event for 2008. Stan has been quite active in racing in 2008, and this is a great way to end the 2008 racing season. Stan has been the RMD National Division Champion several times. We wish him well this weekend.

1 Replies and 1183 Views Tough Runoffs  1183  1 Started by  ZOK By now most of you have seen the reports on how we PanAmers did at the Runoffs. Jose had his usual excellent speed.....near the top of the charts all week, but the race just did not go his way with an early off track that could not be made up. Mark Kowalski fought an ill handling car all week, till Steve and TJ Schoeppner helped him get a handle on it......heck the steering wheel came off the rented car in one session !! Despite that he moved up several places during the race in typical MK fashi...

4 Replies and 1408 Views New guy at El Paso  1408  4 Started by  tps25pentium Hi. Just moved to El Paso and would like to go autocrossing this weekend. I've done a few autocrosses in the northwest Indiana & central Illinois region (Grissom Aeroplex, Rantoul Aviation Center, etc). I'm also wanting to get SCCA membership but I can't find the PanAm region on the website. Lastly, where can I buy magnetic numbers in town I've always used tape but I just read you don't allow that. Thanks in advance! Hassan

0 Replies and 979 Views Team Pan Am Club Racing Update- Championship Points Totals  979  0 Started by  Richard Dziak As the 1st half of the Team Pan Am Club Racing season comes to an end, I felt it would be a good time to update all Pan Am Region racers. We could and would run in the rain, however, we can not plan on putting workers on the course / parking lot with Thunderstorms in the immediate area. We hope you get this message before heading out. (I too had prepped my car, trailer, etc. for rain or dry conditions and was well down the road when the decision was made). Safety must be our first consideration. We will chec...

3 Replies and 1296 Views LaJunta National Results  1296  3 Started by  ZOK Sat..... Kowalski struggles with worn tires but finishes in the points toward a Runoffs invitation. Gerardo qualifies first, runs first for much of race but finishes second after near miss with a backmarker; Jose also had the fastest lap time of anyone at the track this day!! Czacki starts second and finishes second after hounding Pettiford's Solstice early in the race. A protest filed by Czacki against Pettiford for over aggressive defensive driving does not alter the results, although the stew...
