Where can you buy the SSRs in the right size? Supposedly they are now vaporware.

They are no longer made.  Tire Rack sold them in the past.  I have a set, the GT-2H I think.  The front 8" ones have a 40mm offset, so you need to take off 26/1000ths of an inch in order to be truly stock legal.  The 8.5" ones are 44mm offset, so they're fine.

ok, so some updates...

I tried the turner endlinks, they're holding up well so far, about 3 months, many autocrosses, and maybe 3,000 miles. No difference in feel. We'll see how they do over the winter.

I weighed my car with the fancy wheels, but without a lightweight exhaust (60lbs?) and with almost a half tank of fuel at HPT, it weighed 3,199 lbs.

275/40/17 tires in the front have been determined to be no better than 245/40/17's, at least for me, though they don't seem to be really any worse either. Maybe I should keep running them in the front to see if they last longer.

275/40/17 tires in the rear, at nationals, when you think they're 245's, are very detrimental to your times. (pushpushpushpush)

Murph, thanks for sharing your testing info.  I've been running the 245/35-18 Kumhos on my ZHP sedan and they are working pretty well.  I've thought about trying 275s up front, but it sounds like it probably won't help me.  I chose the 245s over 275s in the first place mainly because of gearing -- the 275s are 0.8" taller.

So have you tried the 285/30/18's? They're wider, and in Kumhos they're the same height. I know they'll fit in the front, not as sure about the rear.
