Shahab, those are pretty nice pan shots even with the low light and what appears to be about a 2 ft depth-of-field you were dealing with. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of them.  Remind me early at the next event about a spotter and we'll get you one if we have an extra worker!

Wow!  I had no idea.  Was I the only one of the rallycars picking up a tire?
Nope, the blue WRX also got a tire up.

I took some shots too, but I'm too lazy to process and post most of them.  Here are a few biased shots I pulled out for the local Impreza board.

I'm still learning and these were at about 1/200 sec.  Shahab was shooting at a slower speed and it makes the cars look faster, and I think it makes the shots look better.

You think you guys are ticked?  Try spendinghte last 12 months putting together the mini beast only to become violently ill 4 hours before leaving the house.  I am still mad at the wife for making me sick!

You would have been in the 2nd heat so you wouldn't have gotten to drive it anyway. I'm sick now, did you infect me in the Lowe's parking lot?

Wife likely did.  I do apologize!  Good news is it only lasts 72 hours.  Bad news is it lasts 72 hours.

You really haven't lived until you have 'met' Bob in the Lowe's parking lot. I am surprised you haven't done this already - its supposed to happen before you do your first event. You should try to schedule an appointment as soon as you can. He is pretty booked up at this time of the year, but he might be able to 'squeeze' you in.

I did 'run into Bob' Saturday at Performance Driven, but we were too busy making Dave work.

Yeah, Dave had the Saturn on the alignment rack cussing at it...in his head anyway. Smile

Even though I didn't get to run on Sunday, I had fun.  I'm definitely looking forward to the 19th to debut the tuppercar. Big Smile

    Re: Today's event...

looks like that was interesting, but hindsight for me tells me I made the right decision in heading to autobahn country club for 3 days on the track....  weather effected us there too but in a much different way

50 deg suny sat for N track, 40 deg raining and windy for S track on sun, and 30 deg snowy/slushy for full track mon.  snow track days are fun  sorry to go off topic.  Now I gotta see if I am not working on the 1st auto-x...

So, you can actually run the track in that kind of weather? That stinks. Tim went with you, right? So, how was it then? Did you guys get any snowy videos?

it was w/ audi club, so hell yeah we ran, was awesome - like 30 of us on full track (started in the am on south) and most of us had awd Stick out tongue  We actually stopped them from clearing off too much snow/slush from the track.  I am going thru what video I have right now.  it really just made for cold/wet/puddling track conditions as it melted off.  My instructor brought out her R for the first day w/ it on the track and kept the snow tires on.  good fun.  here's her video's she put up so far, I have a Sat south track uploading, but its much better conditions than this

and I am really suprised how well my RE-01R's did in these cold wet conditions.  snows or all seasons were better, but I wasn't w/o grip.  ask Tim about a black flag to a session DevilBig Smile

edit here's one of my sessions
