The new season is just a few weeks away and we're hard at work getting everything ready for Gulfport.  The main website msscca.org is in the process of being updated, it will likely be another week before everything is done, just trying to get necessary info up now.  The 2010 schedule is up under events, note the Grenada events are still tbd.  The gulf islands flyer is also up as is direct links to our facebook, twitter, and our new youtube channel.  Which brings me to my next point, I need everybody with onboards or other scca related videos to help get some videos up.

 

 To do this upload the video to a file sharing site such as mediafire.com and email the link to daniel_s_johnson@hotmail.com.  I'll download it and put it on the page.  If you have a video already on youtube send me that link and i can put that video on the page.  There are no videos up currently.

 

If you're on facebook be sure to click the facebook link on the front page and become a fan and send it to fb friends you think may be interested.  We need to get the word out especially to get the coast races going.  Below Ive attached the flyer for GIWP.  If you have a car/racing forum you frequent  post it up.  You'd be surprised how far people were driving to get to the last gulf coast event.  First car out time is a bit later than usual b/c it's our first event here but if we have everybody registered and tech'd it can probably be moved up.  I dont believe that time is set in stone.

As Daniel said, GIWP is coming together.

Us "Jackson" folks are responsible for Registration, Tech, Timing. The "Gulf Coast" folks will do the course because they've held events there before.

IT'S GOING TO TAKE A LOT OF COOPERATION AND PATIENCE FROM EVERYONE TO MAKE THIS EVENT AN ENJOYABLE FIRST OF MANY AT THIS SITE.

REGISTRATION/TECH IS GOING TO NEED A LOT OF HELP AND WE MUST HAVE 2 OR 3 FOLKS WHO CAN RUN THE TIMING SYSTEM.

so, WE NEED A SHOW OF HANDS OF ANYONE WHO CAN BE AT GIWP AT 7:45AM SATURDAY MORNING.

Using the SCCA discount program - MSSCCA will arrange/pay for up to 3 motel rooms - Friday night - as a way to assist/encourage our MSSCCA folks in arriving in Gulfport Friday evening. You will be expected to assist both days in registration, tech, timing. You pay for the motel Saturday night.

 

 

 

I am interested in helping out.  What hotel will the rooms be at?

Most likely the Comfort Inn at 49/I10. Rooms will be double occupancy, for A/Xrs who are taking a significant part in staffing the event on both days. The club will pay for Friday night, you pay for Saturday.

"Significant part" means working registration, tech, timing, whatever. The coast guys are doing the course, but they'll still need help with our equipment/trailer, etc. 

Hey skip I can come down and help with registration and tech.  So count me in for the hotel room.
