Is anyone in the Indy area planning to run STR this year? I have a 99 Miata that I am planning to prep and run, and hope I am not alone. After several years of running very little, I am looking forward to getting back into the sport. The car is bone stock at this point, but should start shaping up over the next couple months. If you have suitable NB parts (suspension / exhaust) looking for a new home, let me know.

I may run my STS car or have someone else run it in STR from time to time. If you need help setting the car up or would like to have a co-driver on occasion, I'd definitely be interested in lending a hand here and there.

90 Miata - STS #90/190

Your setup input is welcome... Framework for now: TR C3M 15x9's (a bit heavier, but cheaper than 6UL's) / Off the shelf Koni's with GC or Ebay coilovers (rates?) / Racing Beat 1-1/8" front bar (or 1-1/4" w/softer front springs) Looking at exhaust setups now. The Racing Beat header looks like a pretty good option, but I have not gotten much further than that yet. The shop I shop have had do corner weighting and autocross alignments is down on Kentucky. Any good local options for that in Indy? Note: Poor formatting is due to board software not recogizing the return key on my phone.

The best Miata race shop in the Mid West, maybe the country, is here in Indy. Look up Shane at AIM Tuning. All he does is work on Miatas and he's the best around.  Their number is 381-0898. I've watched him do corner weighting and alignments. He's extremely good at set up. 

I'd recommend the Koni sleeves and threaded perches to go with the Koni shocks. They fit substantially better than anything else and are fairly inexpensive. If you're going with off the shelf Koni shocks, I'd recommend 550/350 spring rates to start and a RB Tubular FSB.

What Geoff said. I also wouldn't hesitate to go with the racing beat header. I'm very happy with mine.
