Congrats to that quick F1000 for the May performance. Thanks for the accolades offered for a fun event.
SWMS does a couple things rather differently from other clubs. First, SWMS allows street cars to drive in our HPDE/School. School usually has a 1 to 1 studnet to instructor ratio. Instructor rides with student for immediate feedback and coaching. School usually is 1 hour class, 15 minutes on track, class, track, class, track. School is very well received by students. This is SWMS 6th or 7th year.
SWMS also allows street cars with verified experienced drivers to run with the lapping group. Very safety oriented. Passing front and back straight with overtaken driver wave by only. No racing. Paint exchanges result in stern talk with steward and maybe disinvite.
Club also invites race cars in 3 groups: open wheel, vintage, contemporary. Groups split with a bit of variety sometimes.
Surprise, we also invite workers, spectators, sponsors, benefactors, etc.
