    Milwaukee #2 results

Results have been posted for Milw SCCA Solo #2.  Thanks to Jason Frank for giving up his Sat night to set up the course for us.  Ok, so it was a little tight and low HP friendly, it was fun anyway.  Smile

Kart videos of Ryan's 6th FJA and my 5th F125 runs.  Good luck to everyone headed to Arkansas next week for the Eastern States Championships.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

It wasn't my night, just the day... I had to be home to watch the UFC fight!!!

Yeah, it was on the tight side at places, but it was my first atempt at course design.  Thanks for the help from Jeff Cashmore and Steve Wynveen to open it up a little in the morning.  When you design courses do you always look back and think, "damn I wish I did this a little different???"

I have a whole new respect for those people who design courses, don't get me wrong, I knew that there was going to be a lot of time involved, but I just didn't realize all of the little things that can make of break a course.  I'm sure it will get easier as I get more courses under my belt.

I hope everyone had fun even if it was a little tight at places...

I really liked the course, I didn't think any of the corners were too tight, but I do think that the width of the gates was a little on the narrow side.  If width was on average 4 feet wider then we could have had more of a choice with our lines, vs. everyone driving the same line.  That would have made it more interesting.  But what do I know?  I took 13th on PAX which I think is the highest I've placed at MR SCCA and that's using the tougher ESP index.  So maybe it was an ESP friendly course, or maybe it was the tire blankets.
