The Western New York Region will be hosting an event at the Seneca Army Depot on 7/13, 2 weeks before the Pro there, so it will be a great opportunity to get some seat time at one of the better sites in the North East.  And for some extra Pro related practice, we're planning on doing a Pro style start (200ft straight start) with a turn off into the "P" section, just no drag light.

 Also, there's an Evo school there the day before, so if you're going to the school, stick around for the event, and hopefully some of the instructors will stick around and there will be some extra competition.

Also, the following weekend, on 7/20, the Finger Lakes Region will be hosting an event (one week before the Pro).  It will be a more traditional Solo course without the drag strip start, but it's still another excelent chance to sample the surface(s) before the big event. 

It's up in the air right now whether or not we will be hosting a Test & Tune on the 19th.  If you'd be interested in attending, please either post in this thread or PM me on this forum and I'll pass along the message to the T&T organizers.  I'll also get back to you as soon as we make a decision one way or the other.

Well, we got poured on all day, so launches were a little different from normal.  As a result, I spoke with the course designer for next weekend and he may change the start to drag-style for next weekend.  Either way, it's the last chance to practice at SEAD before the Pro.

Don't exaggerate. It didn't rain all day. It didn't rain all morning, we had a dry course walk and drivers meeting. And it was dry from the second the last car from the first heat shut down (literally) until we came back from the lunch break. And it was just barely sprinkling during course cleanup and trophies... Sunny the whole drive home too! 

 

But it was deffinatly pouring every second a car was on course...
