Where to buy delrin and splitter material?

I know this question was in the post below, just didn't want to conflict...  Where can one buy a "hunk" of delrin? Also, what does everyone use for front splitters besides CF? Talked to Erik Strelnieks at the DC and forgot what he told me his splitter was made from... anyone know? Erik?

You can buy delrin in many different varieties, and other plastics like UHMW from most plastics suppliers.

Alumalite is inexpensive and sturdy enough for splitters. It's available from signmaking supply shops.

If you prefer to point and click, McMaster-Carr sells delrin too.

I've seen splitters made out of Polyethelene (sp) sheet.  Like in kitchen cutting boards. You can find it all over the internet in sheets up to 4 x 8 ft. and nearly any thickness. I think 3/16" would be about right.   Probably lots cheaper than Delrin.

For the splitter material, you can buy sheets of filler material- usually aluminum or honey comb core, graphite foam etc.... in 4X8 sheets. 1/4", 3/16", 3/8" in thickness from various local or on-line suppliers for around $45-$80 each depending. You can then do a wet layup using Fiberglass mat, Carbon, Kevlar, etc... on each side.

Sufficiently rigid and light for club racing, I've used it for under car aero parts with much success.
