So what is new with the FWSCCA???

Well, just curious if there was any news with our region?

Was talking with the Indy region and they stated that they would of shared a site with them so we could keep our event date; but they did not get an answer back from the message.

So, I guess we are not going to have an event this month, right???

    And...

Are we looking good for the next one???

    **Knock Knock, any one home???

Re: So what is new with the FWSCCA???

Went digging on my own and discovered that the June event is cancelled.

    From sbrscca.org

  • To SBR members,
I discusssed the Solo Challenge with our Solo Director Thursday evening and he asked me to notify you that the event is cancelled.

Fort Wayne has two events coming up: July 20th & August 3rd. The July 20th event is an official part of the Three Rivers Festival - a week long celebration in Fort Wayne. The August event is at the coliseum parking lot on a nice large smooth asphalt surface. It has been over 10 years since we had an event on this site.

    Please consider attending these events.

Mieritz, McMillion, Robuck, J Ryan, R Conrad, DeArmond, and myself.   What no CP cars registered yet??

I will be bringing the heat as well with TAS.  I will be co-driving with Travis :) This will be my first Tour.  I did pretty decent this past weekend in Travis's car.  I love his car!!!  A lot of fun, I might just sneak over there and steel it :)

Well, is the July event going to be at Verizon like last year?

Sleep  Chris K, what are the plans for the next event?

Re: So what is new with the FWSCCA???

Does anyone know if the FWSCCA has a site for July? The schedule on the website's "Solo" page hasn't been updated yet. It still has a registration link for Solo #2 and #3........ and a bunch of dead links for the rest of the events.

Nothing new has been the usual on the schedule.

Even the drift does not have an updated race shedule for place of the event.

Giddy up Chris K... time to wake up and answer us BUD!!!

I also spoke with Indy Region's Solo Director (Will Lahee)....he said he called Krumnow offering to co-host an event so we didn't have to cancel, but never heard back.

Has anyone heard from Chris?  Is he alive?  PAGING CHRIS KRUMNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Chris has a new girl friend... hopefully he doesn't fall weak-sauce like larson did...

I took the Shop Truck from work in to the dealer for an oil-change (fleet vehicles)  and ran into Eric shopping for a mini-Van..

    (not really...)

I have my own theories as to what is going on..  and all i am going to say now is...  he is about to lose the help of many people if he doesn't make what he does more public.  Inclusion is paramount to running a successful solo program.

Well, maybe the question should be "what are we doing to help Chris run the program"??  Man I really need to start making the FW SCCA board meetings, when is the next one?

I should probably clarify what Chris and I talked about back in February or March. I did make mention we were trying to come up with a co-op event and we talked once.

We were trying to put together a joint event between the FTW and Indy regions, and we couldn't come to a consensus date that worked for both regions. I gave Chris our dates that we would be at Grissom and to let me know if those would work for a FTW-Indy joint event. We have 2 events left there (not including the NT we are hosting June 27-29) on September 7th and October 26th. Any FTW member is welcome to those events if you don't have anything going on those weekends. We welcome any "trophy raid" that other regions may try to stage. Big Smile

Although it is not listed on the website or in the Drift, Verizon is the site for the July event and it is an official Three Rivers Festival event again.

I understand helping someone...  But if they don't ask...how are you to know they need help or where they might need help?

Do we have a date for the July event?  Who is the event master?

Re: So what is new with the FWSCCA???

The Three Rivers Festival has it listed on their website as the last Sunday of the festival (July 20th?)...same day as the Corvette Club's Poker Rally (I'd rather autocross if I had a choice between the two).  Not sure who your event master is.
